Olivia is starting to seem more and more... jealous?
She's staring at Mary and I whenever we're together. She comes in the music room without knocking more often. She tries to be loud whenever speaking to me.
Mary just laughs at her and goes away.
"You don't seem to take Olivia seriously, are you?" I ask her one day, after school.
"Should I? I trust you."
"You seem to have a blind trust in me."
"It's not blind. I love you. I have my own reasons to trust you. You trust me, don't you?"
"Yes, but that's not what I was saying."
"Why do you trust me?"
"Because... Dunno, your behavior is just like... You're never gonna cheat on me. I just know it."
"Me too, then why are you so sad?"
"Shouldn't you start a fight with her and tell her that I'm yours?"
"That's your job to tell her you're mine."
It took me a while to process things. When I realized she was right, I leaned on an kissed her. She gladly accepted it.
Just then, Olivia entered the music room and looked very mad at Mary.
"What were you doing?" she said.
Mary stood on the stool and started playing the piano, then sung:
"This is the end
Hold your breath and count to ten
Feel the earth move and then
Hear my heart burst again
For this is the end
I've drowned and dremt this moment
So overdue I owe them
Swept away I'm stolen
Let the sky fall
When it crumbles
We will stand tall
And face it all, together
Let the sky fall, when it crumbles
We will stand tall and face it all together
At sky fall...."
Olivia looked troubled at Mary, who didn't sang marvelously, but it seemed like she wanted to tell her something. A message.
Seeing that Olivia didn't get it, she started singing something else:
"When I find myself in times of trouble
Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom
Let it be
And in my hour of darkness
She is standing right in front of me
Speaking words of wisdom
Let it be..."
"What are you implying, Wolf?" Olivia finally said.
"I am saying that you want something you can't have and that it's better if you just gave up and tried something else."
"What do you mean?"
"Don't make me say it, it's embarrassing. I know you hate me because of Arthur, and..."
"I don't hate you."
"You're mad at me. Jealous. Something about that."
"That's not it."
"Explain yourself"I intervened.
"Since you came here and entered Arthur's life, my world has crumbled. It's not that I'm jealous, but... it kinda hurts. I felt like an ally has let me down. I really felt mad and wanted to make Arthur spend time with me again, trying to make him rethink his choice, I mean gosh, you just met him and you're all over him! What are you two, werewolves? Wait, even your name is wolf... Don't tell me..."
Mary gulped and looked at me and even I started to make the connections.
But she laughed.
"There's no way those exist! God, what have I ever done for you two to think that I am a monster? Love always finds a way, and if we thought so so soon, it means it was just a message from God. Even if you don't believe in Him, I truly do."

They seemed to accept this answer. How dumb could they be?
Olivia sighed and smiled.
"Sorry for the trouble. I really didn't want to make you hate me or think that I hate you."
"It's okay now" we all smiled and Olivia left.
Arthur looked at me, very confused.
"I thought you said I should be the one that confronts her."
"Nah, I really wanted to sing those songs."
"They didn't really fit here."
"Whatever."
"Now you're mad at me?"
"Yes. Very."
