Naruto skated through the neighborhood, sucking on an ice-cream bar as he wandered around in a daze. He was actually in a state of confusion. The reason why was because summer's here and he doesn't know what to do with the large amount of free time he suddenly has on hand. Shikamaru will be working full time with Tobirama. Shino had been dragged away by his dad who came back from his business trip to places unknown. Kiba had decided to go to his usual workplace for the summer, a dog café.

So he has no one to spend time with.

Just the other day he spent his whole day looking at the army of toads that's growing in the nearby river just behind the mountain surrounding the town. He somehow discovered an African Bullfrog that someone had abandoned there and decided to adopt it, calling it Gamakichi after his old toad friend. Minato was surprised to see the overgrown toad that Naruto brought back and had gone into a small argument about the name. Minato seemed fond of Gamabunta while Naruto insisted on Gamakichi. It was a funny argument for the younger blond but he still won in the end by telling Minato to get his own toad.

Toads are apparently great fathers.

Naruto threw his ice-cream stick away and sat on a bench in the playground he found himself in, stretching his legs out. He then closed his eyes and focused out of habit. In his later years, he had come to the realization that since he's a Sage, he didn't really need to sit like he was taught to gather Nature Energy. He just needed to be still and feel the world. Due to this, as he grew older he tended to slip into a trance randomly and turned on his Sage Mode unconsciously.

This carried over into this life and once Iruka asked him why he's wearing an obnoxious girl accessory in his hair during P.E only for the butterfly to flap away when Naruto asked him what he meant in confusion, moving his head and dislodging the critter off in the process. Iruka's reaction as well as those nearby was hilarious.

("It's a real butterfly?!!")

This world doesn't have as much Nature Energy and Naruto could only lament that human's progress slowly suffocates the planet of its vitality. As a Sage, it was something to mourn for. But there are still pockets of nature that thrives with the ancient life force of the planet although that too was dwindling. Naruto could only hope that there's no Shinju Tree in this world.

He doubted this world's society could survive even with their weapon of mass destruction. Honestly, the more he learned about the weapons this world has created, the less he liked it. Sure Shinobi can be just as destructive, like the Jinton that the Tsuchikage was so famous for, or even the Mokuton used by the Shodaime, hell even Susanoo was enough to show how destructive a Shinobi can be if they pushed themselves hard enough.

But there's a difference between all their Jutsu and a nuclear bomb. They can at least target their attacks and usually took the worse of their battles far from civilians or society unless ordered for mass genocide. But these bombs? It doesn't matter if they are children or adults, soldiers or civilians, men or women; everyone was equally burned to ashes. Worse of all, the land suffered for generations to come, becoming so toxic nothing can thrive...other than roaches.

But what's the use of their lifeless and mindless weapon when it can just be teleported to the space with nothing more than a thought? Or be rerouted back to their base, destroying their command center? It was hopeless for this world.

Naruto shuddered; trying to turn his mind away from the destructive possibility of having a monster like Kaguya sleeping somewhere on this planet. He might not like the weapons this world developed but that does not mean he wanted them to face a monstrous and hopeless war like the 4th Shinobi War. He gulped and gripped his hands, his extremities cold.
