Naruto shivered, "Cold!" He grumbled to Kurama, "Are you sure I can't just circulate warm chakra instead, Kurama?"

His best friend snorted, "And have people gawk at how little the cold bothered you? Are you an idiot? No wait. Don't answer that,"

Naruto pouted, "Do you have to be so mean?"

Life took another direction after Minato admitted his depression. Not that it changes much, except Naruto became more patient when the man's temper grew short. So far he wasn't as bad as turning apathetic towards life or grow so listless as to not even leave his bed. Naruto had been there when Hinata died. It took the aid of all his children and grandchildren and the company of his great grandchildren to cheer him up and remind him that he has them. So he know just how frustrating it can get when dealing with people with depression.

They can be a little stubborn in staying depressed.

Naruto rubbed his cold hands together, hoping that the friction will help warm it up. He frowned slightly as he noticed someone as he turned the corner. Knowing the problem he has been having with Minato, Hinata had requested Hiashi to let Naruto as much freedom to help with his father's emotional state as possible. Hiashi was a little confused by Minato's sudden depression but since Hinata could just stay home when not in school, he allowed it. So today is a free day for the blond.

He blinked when he saw Gaara toddling unhappily in his direction. He raised his hand to call out to the child when he saw something that made his blood run cold. He rushed towards the toddler, "Gaara?"

He made sure to use gentle voice, recalling his training when handling children in shock.

Gaara looked at him, his head bleeding, "Naru...nii?" His whole face scrunched up as his chest seized, "Naru-nii! Naru-nii help!!"

Naruto let the boy tackle him and crouched down to look at his bleeding head. He absentmindedly took notice that it's on the same spot where his other Gaara scarred himself. He asked, "What's wrong? What happened?"

Gaara sobbed, "Nee-nee,"

Frowning inward, Naruto kept his face soft, "Temari? Take me to her,"

Gaara nodded and Naruto picked him up before he could run off, confusing the child. Naruto smiled, "Why don't you just point, Gaara? I'll follow,"

Gaara relaxed and pressed himself against the blond, little head nodding.

Naruto quicken his pace, opening his steps wider and using his long legs to get to his destination faster without making Gaara panic. Gaara pointed him in the direction of a familiar park and Naruto can hear Temari's voice screaming at someone, "Let me go, you jerk! You hit Gaara!"

A boy's voice echoed, "Not until you tell me who knocked you up!"

Temari shouted, "No one, you bastard! Gaara's my brother!"

"Lying bitch!"

"Ow! You-!"

Naruto reached to see Temari struggling against an older boy, probably around college age. Naruto has heard that Japanese college student tended to be wild because their result in college didn't really matter and every day is a party to them due to how most workplaces don't care about their college merit much, just their high school. But from how he kept meeting assholes from that generation, he wondered if leaving school equals leaving behind things like morals behind.

He shouted, "Hey!"

The boy looked at him, "Is that him?" He pulled at Temari's hair, "Is that the bastard you have been seeing behind my back?"
