Naruto was sucking on an ice-cream, walking around buying grocery with Minato, when his eyes caught sight of a poster. He stopped and stared, reading what it was all about. Minato turned around and looked at the same poster. After a moment, he looked at Naruto, "Want to go?"

Naruto popped his ice-cream out, "Sure. Looks fun!"

It was a poster for the local summer festival.

Once he reached home and after helping put away the grocery, he pulled out his phone and texted his friends. He remembered going to summer festival with his family, remembered carrying Hinata endlessly as he took her out for the festival in Konoha. It was the last summer festival he actually enjoyed wholeheartedly. After looking over his summer homework, making sure he had finished everything, his phone rang. Naruto was charmed by the Korok character in the Zelda game and had set the cutesy "Yahaha!" as his notification bell. After all, he's a forest boy himself.

Of course for his alarm clock he purposefully put on the traumatizing sound of the Guardian's theme. He had faced monsters and godlike beings, but a mechanical spider that can shoot beam out of its eye was what traumatized his conscious enough to wake him up. Minato had been surprised to hear him screaming in the morning that first time but then found the whole thing hilarious. He would have used the Gloom Hands theme but they are too slow for him and they are sneaky so he might end up dreaming being caught by the freaky limbs.

And he once thought nothing can be freakier that Orochimaru's tongue...

Minato hated that music after he played the second Zelda game once with Naruto. He was always too late at noticing them and getting away was hard as it kill the player fast. At least with the Guardian, he spotted them long before they spot him so he can decide whether to run or to fight. Naruto always chose fight and Minato will always scream in horror, thrill, or trauma whenever the blond spot a Guardian and decide to face it instead of running.

Away from games, Naruto looked at their answer. They all agreed to meet at the festival itself. Sasuke has yet to answer and Naruto understood. He had been in the boy's shoes. It hurt when Sakura kept her eyes only on Sasuke even though it was Naruto who had to take on injuries for her. The way his heart squeezed and twisted in pain was probably the reason he tried to be as gentle as possible when letting others down. His experience with Sakura was probably the reason behind his obsessive need to be sure that Hinata want him and only him.

Funny enough, it was the same thing from her side. She understood his pain and insecurity because she had experienced the same thing and Naruto hated that he put her through it. Other than his duty as Hokage, he will always put Hinata's need above his own as penance for his stupidity. Though Hinata had often explained to him that it wasn't his fault because he grew up without understanding love. It was why she could never hate him should he choose someone else.

Naruto looked up when Minato knocked on his door, "Naruto?"

Naruto opened his door, "Yeah?"

Minato offered a bundle of cloth, "Hashirama came to the studio the other day and asked if I have anything traditional. When I said no, he started crying for some reason and handed me these. I think it would be nice to wear it to the festival,"

Naruto unraveled the bundle and marveled at the yukata in his hand. It was a beautiful dark fabric with a silvery sheen to it and bright orange swirl pattern on the hem. It...looked a lot like the one he used to own. Even the sash is orange. Except in his past life, the yukata was given to him by Hiashi who had glared at the worn out orange yukata that Naruto had. He had gone out of his way to commission a yukata for him and told Naruto that no son of his will wear something to threadbare.
