Naruto stared at the poster at the grocer, "What's White Day?"

Just over a week ago he had celebrated Hinamatsuri with the Hyuuga, helping Hinata arrange rows of pretty and expensive traditional Japanese dolls, eating hina arare and chirashizushi, and praying for Hanabi and her health. At least this he was familiar with but...White Day?

Minato stared at the poster, "It looked like something similar to Valentine but...I have never heard of this. Must be a Japanese thing,"

So Naruto turned to his friend; [What's White Day?]

Sasuke; [Ugh]

Shikamaru; [Busy]

Neji; [Suffer]

Chouji; [Sorry, rush hour!]

Kiba; [Leave me alone. I need colors! Too much white products!]

Just as Naruto wondered what he did to be treated so badly, Shino came along like a savior; [White Day is the day the guys treat their girlfriend to special treats. It could be a date or a present. But the color of said present must be white]

Naruto blinked at answer and then looked at the date on the poster; March 14. Today's March 12. He only have two days to prepare. Naruto began to sweat and Minato, after taking a peek at the answer on his son's chat group, also began to sweat as he too realize that Naruto's cutting close. The boy had a week to prepare for Valentine and he wasn't even supposed to be the one to do gift giving. Now he only has two days to return Hinata's chocolates with something white and special.

He and Minato started to scour the whole mall for something white, which was easy to procure, and something that suits Hinata, which was not easy to procure, and that something hold a meaning rather than generic, which made it even harder to procure. One thing that they do notice was the abundance of cookies and marshmallows that filled the aisles. There're also an abundance of white flowers on display at the florist.

Naruto grumbled as he started to study this strange new culture on his phone. That's how he learned about Orange Day. Except this time both sides give their special someone a gift together.

He grumbled, "Just how many presents are we forced to give each other, dattebayo?"

Minato slumped next to him, "Cultural gap. Western culture feel so much easier,"

Naruto glared at the candy aisle in the store across the bench that they sat on, "Should I just buy those white Life Savers candy?" He then bowed his head, shaking the thought off, "No...that would be lazy. I can't be lazy about this, dattebayo..."

Minato surfed the web for ideas before coming across one, "Why not get her something that last longer this time? Last time you made her a cake and I bet she finished them in a day. Why not find a gift that would at least last her longer than a few hours?"

Naruto frowned before his eyes landed on a candle store, "I think I have an idea..."

He started to for the store and Minato obediently followed. His son sometimes have the strangest but fun ideas. True enough, when he saw Naruto perusing the candle store, he could already see the mess the blond will make in the kitchen. Sighing, he smiled and indulged Naruto's idea...

He chose a soothing lily scent and bought a bunch of white wax along with a few purple coloring ink. The next day was a day of testing and failing and making more waxy mess. The whole house smell of lilies and Minato had to air out the house because it grew too strong at times. He wondered if Naruto should even give Hinata anything for White Day because they aren't really together. But he supposed better safe than sorry since Naruto was actually serious about Hinata.
