THE TRUTH

Luke and Ashton walk onto the soccer field and look around to find their old teammates. The coach wanted them to do something together for the last time as a team. Maybe to give them some closure to the things that happened before, but it could also be so he can still manage to get Luke, Ashton, and others back.

"The minute I can get out of here, I will," Luke tells his best friend. "Is Alexis at work? She didn't answer any of my texts this morning." Ashton looks at his best friend with a sly smirk on his face. "Don't give me that look. I'm not controlling her. I might just be a little worried, and I figured you might know since you guys live together."

"She got pulled into an extra shift at work. Someone called in sick. According to her, she needs the money." Ashton explains. "She did mention that if she's done with work, she'll come here." The smirk appears again as he remembers how she left this morning. It has been two days since they had sex, and she still can't walk straight.

"Okay, what are you looking at me for now?" Luke whines. "You annoy me so much, Irwin."

"How hard did you fuck her?" Luke frowns, but then a smirk also appears on his face. He still remembers how she walked out of his apartment and into hers. He can't wait to see her walk again. Maybe she still feels it.

"I went easy on her," Luke tells Ashton. It's not an entire lie. He's just waiting for her to beg for more. He's waiting for her to ask if he can give her everything, and he would do that with passion.

"Of course you did," Ashton laughs at the blonde. "I saw how she entered the apartment yesterday and left this morning. There is no way you went easy on her." Luke rakes his hand through his hair and sighs deeply as he sees the other teammates. He had hoped that somehow they wouldn't show up.

"Stepbrother," Michael grins at Luke. Luke glances at his best friend, who's looking with the mischief Luke feels. Michael has something on his mind. If Alexis can't hurt Luke, he has to do it himself. Alexis won't be here to defend herself anyway. "Haven't you missed me?"

"Don't you still live with your mom?" Luke asks him. He knows it's an empty comeback; months ago, he was to live with his dad as well. Michael rolls his eyes and chuckles. "What do you want? We are not going to suck your dick."

"And even if you were, it wouldn't get hard," Michael says. "Where's your little girlfriend?" Luke balls his fists. He shouldn't have to feel so protective over his girlfriend, but he can't help it. "Don't worry, I'm not going to hurt her..," Michael says softly, "Now."

"Dude, what the fuck do you want?" Ashton says, finally speaking up. He usually lets Luke do his talk, but he can see the rage on his best friend's face. He won't say anything out of emotion, but he will act like it. Ashton doesn't want another fight. Not for the sake of Alexis. He hates to admit it, but they got into many fistfights ever since she fully came into their lives.

Don't get him wrong, though. He loves Alexis with every piece of his heart. But the girl brings so much trouble along with her. He waves away the thoughts; Michael has always been a dick toward them. That is the problem right now, Michael.

"I'm just saying Alexis doesn't want you. She wouldn't have wanted you if it weren't for me." Michael informs the guys before walking away. Ashton shrugs his shoulders once he gets a look from the blonde. Luke shakes the thought off as well. Michael is just trying to get on his nerves, and Luke hates himself for letting him.

"How is he always working on my nerves?" Luke asks, annoyed. It's more of a rhetorical question than a question to answer for Ashton. So, as the intelligent guy he is, he remains silent. "Do you even know what we're going to do here? I didn't dress to play soccer."
