TENSION

*

Alexis Finley is nervous.

Luke hasn't been around since he's busy, but she wants to hear about the date Ashton went on. If Luke were around, he'd be the one to calm her down or to talk a little sense into the girl. Maybe it's because she hasn't been on a date in a while. She figured Luke mostly takes her somewhere. She has never asked him out.

Maybe she should.

But how do you start asking such a thing? Alexis starts to pace in the living room as she tries to devise a solid plan. However, none of them seem to be good enough. What would he like? What would they like? Is there something they actually know they want to do together?

She's overthinking everything, and she hates it. She wishes planning a date would be so much easier. How did Luke come up with the things they did? She feels like a picnic date would be too casual and boring.

Luke would love it as long as he can spend time with her. He can tell whenever she's getting uncomfortable or feeling off, and he will do everything he can to ensure she feels okay again.

Quickly, Alexis' thoughts get interrupted - and scared off by - the bell that rings. She walks toward it to see the curly blonde in front of her.

"Luke!" She says happily, wrapping her arms around the guy. "I didn't know you were coming over. Why didn't you text me?" He would almost feel offended if he didn't see the bright smile on her face. Ashton has asked him to come over so she wouldn't be such a pain in the ass. Ashton has gotten to know the girl and knows she'll be. Besides, given the fact that he's actually tired, he's not really willing to answer everything that occupies her mind right now.

"Did you miss me, pretty girl?" Alexis feels her knees weaken at the small comment. "Oh, you so did," he chuckles. "I'm gone for one week, and you missed me like hell."

"Bold of you to say that when you continuously texted me and called me saying you missed me," Alexis fires back. He smiles and leans down to kiss the girl, but she quickly pulls him into the apartment without their lips ever touching.

"What's going on?" Luke asks the girl. "You seem a little tense," he grabs the shoulders of the girl, which makes her stop walking immediately. The pressure of his fingers on her shoulders feels way too good. "Oh, you feel tense too," Luke's voice lowers. His hands are now putting more pressure on her shoulders. Alexis lets her head fall back, and her lips part ever so slightly. Soft pants leave her lips at the amazing feeling of his hands. According to her, those hands never seem to do anything wrong.

Never.

"Let's get to your room, and I'll give you a massage. How about that?" Alexis turns around as his hands leave her body. "But I get to kiss you first." She chuckles and stands on her tippy toes to reach his lips, the sight is cute, but the action is in vain. Luke leans down to let his lips touch hers. He feels the warmth in his body spread. The butterflies flutter in his stomach. He can't help but wonder if she feels the same about him.

Of course, they have talked about what happened between them several times. However, talking doesn't mean you get to know what the other person is feeling all the time. Sometimes talking is necessary to understand how someone else thought during another moment. It doesn't mean you get to know what they feel in the future. He hopes so badly that she feels the same way about him. That she receives those exact butterflies. Otherwise, he might think he is doing something wrong.

Their lips move together, and his hands move towards her ass to lift her up. A little squeak leaves her lips as he does. She wraps her legs around her body and grabs his face to continue their kiss.
