Time lapse: 6 months
Changkyun and I had taken time to work on our relationship, he never questioned why I was so compliant, but I made my resolve when I left for Dubai. This merger was good for everyone, so I would give him one last chance to prove to me he was worth it, living together helped our relationship build, we communicated more, I didn't have to go out on the field to work but I chose to, it was the only time I could spend time with Namjoon. I knew he was seeing someone, we both respected that. Namjoon was trying to have a relationship; I was proud of him. The distance we kept from each other outside of work was difficult for both of us, but he was doing it for us, neither of us wanted to have any regrets. Changkyun and I's relationship was finally back to normal, our wedding was weeks away. My father had called us over for dinner, Changkyun was the one that was eager to go, Namjoon and I had just come from the office breaking down the numbers of our next job, I was exhausted.
"Come on, Karly will be there to keep you entertained, Jimin and Yoongi have already left." Changkyun seemed to enjoy my family more than me recently.
"I just want to stay home and soak..." Changkyun stroked my cheek kissing my forehead.
"The owner of Spire Bank wants to do business with all of us, I promise when we get home I will personally, run your bath." I raised my brow, pouting a bit.
"I'm doing this because I love you, and I want that bath." Changkyun chuckled, leading me out the door.
Yoongi and Karly arrived at the same time we had parked our car, Jimin and Namjoon walked in unison to the main door. Karly wanted to sneak in through the back patio to watch our guests, Changkyun and Yoongi laughed, watching the both of us go the opposite direction. My father already suspected what Karly and I were doing sending the staff in our direction with glasses of champagne.
"Are we really that predictable?" Karly scowled, taking our glasses, handing mine over to me.
"No, you are that predictable...you just drag me along with the ride." Karly huffed, sipping her champagne.
"There you two are, come on I want to introduce you to our new banker." Jungkook snuck behind us pushing Karly and I to the dining room.
"Kook...you could let me hide for a little bit longer." I pouted, Changkyun mingled with the investors, watching me out of the corner of his eye.
"Ladies, this is Woo Dohwan the owner of Spire Bank." I tried to keep my composure, but Karly squealed, smiling widely.
"Dohwan, it's been to long! You can't have my Princess...this is my territory." Karly grinned, I on the other hand was looking for the closest exit.
"Princess, I didn't know you were going to be here...I would have been more prepared." Jungkook stared at the three of us, we could see the curiosity growing on his face.
"I should have known you were here, I thought I smelt your cologne." I pressed my lips, sipping my champagne slowly.
"I didn't know you were Jungkook sister, I would have been a lot kinder to you in Dubai." Dohwan smiled gently.
"Oh, you were very kind to her...after you two stopped arguing." Karly smirked.
"KARLY!" Dohwan and I spoke in unison.
"I told you this was your karma for not telling him goodbye." Karly smugly drank her champagne.
"You look well, this environment suites you..." Dohwan winked, I tensed I could feel Namjoon and Changkyuns eyes on me.
"Can we please not talk about this right now?" Karly giggled watching me squirm.
"We could talk about it over dinner, another night." Dohwan was bold to talk to me in that manner in front of everyone.
