Over the next few days, I tried my best to avoid talking to people in the halls. When I walked anywhere with Ominis, Sebastian or both they continued their flaunting. I simply went along and let them parade me around the school. The whispers and stares continued of course, but with Ominis and I holding the highest-ranking student positions and all of us being 7th years, no one seemed to openly speak negatively, at least not if it could reach our ears. Which really alleviated some of the anxiety I had about the situation.

My luck eventually ran out though, as Natty and Poppy cornered me in the hall one afternoon, when they found me walking back to my dorm on my own after beasts class.

"You sneaky witch!" Natty chastised me.

I giggled nervously, "HeeEeey, Natty, Poppy, how are you ladies this fine afternoon?"

"Don't play us O, everyone knows what you and those boys have been up to now. Spill the tea!" Natty demanded.

I giggled again, "Whatever do you mean Nat?" I looked over her shoulder scanning for exit points.

She quickly caught my eyes though, "Uh uh uh, you've been avoiding us for weeks almost, now you have to tell us the dirty details O."

I felt my face instantly blush, my anxiety was off the charts.

Poppy's eyes were wide with curiosity. "Yes, please Ophelia, you need to explain the details to us. In nature, males fight one another to assert dominance and reproduce the most, this is quite a fascinating coupling, or should I say, threepling?"

If I could've turned any redder, I would've. "Oh... Uhm hehe ... You know I really need to get to my next class ladies, perhaps I should ... "

Both Natty and Poppy linked their arms with mine. "No, you don't, we know your schedule Ms. Head Girl, you have a free period until dinner and we're taking the long way to the great hall so you can tell us what you, Sallow and Gaunt have been up to this year." Natty demanded.

"Uhm, this year?" Curses. I should've kept my mouth shut.

Natty's eyes went even wider. "Yes, this year! I noticed the three of you being even chummier than last year. You know, with the cottage rental, and all the time all of you had been spending together, poppy and I got curious. So, I decided to do a reading on you." She held her hand out to look at it with confidence.

"Natty, Poppy! I'm appalled at you two!" The halls started spinning a big. What had Natty found with her reading?

"Us!?" Poppy asked shocked, "you've been hiding your relationship from everyone, from us! For months!" She looked a bit hurt at that.

"Exactly," Natty agreed, "I pulled a queen and two knights on you, I knew that things were serious, although we thought perhaps the two might be courting you in private, trying to see who would win your favor. But of course, that much was obvious before. Imagine our surprise when rumors start spreading about you kissing Ominis in the medical wing, just to be seen with Sebastian that same afternoon, clearly together!" Natty looked a bit hurt, but I continued to wonder how this was all so obvious to everyone last year but me!?

"Yeah, we thought perhaps, with Ominis being in the hospital wing for so long, that Sebastian might've tried to make a strong move to try to steal you away as he'd realized Ominis had one upped him." Poppy was giddier about this than I liked, she was almost skipping as we slowly made our way to the great hall.

"But then, to absolutely everyone's surprise, the three of you ended up parading down the halls when Ominis was released! And I know you saw me in the hall that afternoon, so spill it now O." Natty jabbed my ribs with her elbow, a proud smile spread on her lips as she walked with her head held high, she had me cornered and she knew it.
