The rest of the winter break went by, perhaps a bit too fast... Before we knew it, we were packing up to return to school and saying our goodbyes. After the new year's party, the rest of our holiday was pretty uneventful. Ominis, Sebastian and I resorted to staying at the house the whole time, great aunt Cleo often teased us about turning into vampires if we kept avoiding the sun.

The day right after the party, we heard from Helga about Edward having been found outside a pub and being roughed up. Everyone seemed non the wiser about what had really happened that night though. Sebastian, Ominis and I retrieved my father's field notes from Edward's room that same night, I took any letters and cards that I had exchanged with him over the years. As far as Edward knew now, I was one of his father's employers' great niece. We knew each other from school and nothing else. I felt that in the end, it was for the best.

When Mr. Smith and Edward picked us up from great aunt Cleo's house to take us to the train station, Edward simply greeted us as Mr. Gaunt, Mr. Sallow, and Ms. Wright. Despite what he'd done to me, my heart ached when we said good bye and saw them riding back towards Surrey. I hoped, deep in my heart, that he could just live his life normally, as if I'd never changed anything in it, and that he could become the great doctor he'd always wanted to be.

For our trip back, Ominis had booked us a private suite for the train to London. We had opted to take the night train to get some rest on the way to Scotland. We didn't want to feel beat up, like we had been on the way out to Surrey, when we got back to school. Classes would be resuming again in two days, and preparation for our NEWTs would be under way.

"I do wish you would've let us rough Edward around a bit more." Sebastian said as we settled into our suite, it was roomy and the bed was extra plush.

I pushed my head further down into the pillow I'd grabbed, "Please...I don't want to talk about it..."

"I'm sorry love, seeing him just... It was hard to hold myself back and act like nothing happened." Sebastian clenched his fist but started to settle down as he laid next to me.

From the corner of my eye I could see Ominis clenching his jaw. I rolled over towards him and ran my fingers over his cheek, "Ominis...?"

His features softened and he turned in my direction, "It will be nice to be back in our dorm, no more disillusioning at night and in the morning to sneak in and out of your room."

I smiled and felt Sebastian wrapping his arms around my waist and scooting closer to press himself against my back. "Hmmm yes, Weasley is going to have to chain me to the dungeons if she plans on keeping me out of your dorm room."

"Yes, I don't know how we're going to find the time to focus on our NEWTs with you around darling." Ominis said as he also wrapped his arms around me and pressed himself against me. I could feel both of them getting quite...excited.

I giggled, "I guess we should all just give up now, because if you two are relying on me to keep us focused, you are placing your hopes on a lost cause." They both laughed.
