"Thank Merlin that's over!" Ominis exclaimed as we entered our common room after we'd finished our last mock exam.
Sebastian was already there, sitting on the floor crossed legged, nose buried in an ancient rune book. He looked up and smiled wide, "Well hello there head boy and girl, as of today, I declare thee free from the evil clutches of school work!" Sebastian made a dramatic expression throwing his hands in the air in the shape of claws.
I flopped onto the couch behind him, exhaustedly laughing just to feel Ominis drop himself on top of me knocking my wind out. "Oi, watch it Gaunt!" I exclaimed trying to wiggle myself out from under him but he wrapped his arms tightly around me clutching my hands and buried his face into the back of my neck. Sebastian was still sitting on the floor laughing at my misfortune.
"You're mine darling, you can't escape." Ominis said in a threatening voice as he tightened his grasp on me.
"Noooo!" I squealed trying to wiggle myself out from his grasp. Sebastian was now clutching his stomach as he continued to laugh. "It's not funny Sallow, save me! He's killing me!"
Ominis grabbed both of my wrists with one hand keeping them under my chest and he started to tickle my ribs with his free hand making me scream and laugh painfully. "It is your end dearest!" He joked poking his fingers into me even harder.
"Nooo please Ominis, let me go!!" I pleaded as my eyes got teary from the painful laughter. "Sebastian please save me!"
"Alright alright, I'll save you my damsel in distress!" Sebastian declared as he got up.
"If you touch me I will bite you Sallow!" Ominis threatened him while he continued to torture my poor ribcage.
Sebastian lifted his hands in the air, "Sorry love, you heard the man, I can't touch him."
"Darling?" Ominis stopped but suddenly I felt a rush of electricity run through my body. I quickly realized that my body had somehow responded to a false threat.
Ominis had let go of my hands, I pushed myself up off the couch knocking him off on the floor and I tried with all my might to contain the magic that was now surging out of me.
"Ophelia!" Sebastian screamed as a bolt almost hit him but it stopped.
Almost as in slow motion I saw the electricity that had started to radiate out of my body curling back towards me. I could feel the tethers of my magic flowing out and I made them stop and return in my direction. A sphere of my magic surrounded me trapping the electricity around my body. I looked up at Sebastian and Ominis they looked shocked but happy. I smiled and realized I had been holding my breath. I tried to steady my breaths as I kept my focus around the sphere, circling around me and containing my power inside. I could feel the electricity trying to escape, it seemed as if it was pushing me off the ground and I started to hover just above the floor.
Just then Deek apparated into the common room, I lost my focus and a bolt with all the electric energy that has surged out of me shot in his direction. "Merlin!" I heard Deek yell as he duct out of the way just in time.
"Deek!" I landed on my knees painfully reaching my hand out to him. "Are you alright?!"
Deek stood up slowly looking at where his head had been just a second ago, there was a whole the size of a quaffle out through the rock, which had melted and was glowing red.
Ominis, Sebastian and I looked through to the outside in disbelief.
"Deek thinks Ms. Opaleye's aim is getting quite good." Deek giggled but his eyes were wide and fearful.
"Deek, I'm so sorry..." I looked at poor confused Deek, who dismissively brushed his hand in the air.
"No matter, Deek can fix the hole," Deek snapped his fingers and the rock reformed back into the wall almost instantly.
