Chapter 29: Falling Apart

Sebastian:

"How DARE you?! CRUCIO!"

We heard loud screams instantly. Ophelia and I ran out of the closet and into the next room.

"Father stop! Let him go!" We heard the clear sound of Ominis getting hit as we burst through the door. Ominis was holding his face and looked distraught.

Ominis's mother spotted us and immediately came towards us. "What are you two doing here?!"

"Mother no!" Ominis screamed at her, his father quickly turned his attention toward him.

"You brat!!!" Mr. gaunt yelled releasing Violet's father from his curse and turning to point his wand at Ominis.

"DEPULSO!" Ophelia managed to hit Mr. Gaunt and throw him against a book shelf.

"You little bitch!"

"Glacio!" I froze Ominis's mother before she could get to Ophelia.

Mr. Gaunt started to get back up, "HOW DARE YOU INSOLENT CHILD!? ADAVA..."

Ophelia suddenly let out an ear piercing scream, the whole room started to shake, sparks and blue flames were eminating from Ophelia and she hit Mr. Gaunt with all her rage. She smiled as he curled dover in pain, I had cast crucio before, I knew what the fear and pain looked like on someone and this, this was far worse.

"Ophelia stop!! Ophelia let go!" I yelled trying to pull her arm away. Suddenly, some sort of shield burst from her throwing me on my back.

"Ophelia, please you have to stop, something is wrong, this isn't you!" Ominis screamed, I could see tears forming in his eyes.

Everyone in the room was afraid, I didn't know how to stop her. I got up knowing that there was no other way, "Ophelia... I'm sorry... IMPERIO! Ophelia be calm, I ordered." The flames decipated but her eyes were still completely black. "Sleep." I stepped forward to catch her. "Ominis let's get out of here. Now! Violet help your mother to pick up your father."

Mrs. Gaunt ran to her husband and knelt beside him, he was breathing but unconscious.

Ominis held the door open for the McDowells and I stepped out carrying Ophelia in my arms.

"Mother, if you wish for father to not lose his businesses, you will let me be and never speak a word of this to anyone." Ominis demanded.

"You ungrateful..." She started to say and Ominis stood up straight his face twisting into a dark glare.

"Do you understand me!?" His voice boomed out of him, I had never seen Ominis behave this way in all our lives.

"Yes, Ominis." She answered and he let the door close behind him as the rest of us made our way out of the main house.

"Hurry everyone, this way." Ominis escorted us to the main entrance.

The McDowell's carriage was still parked outside, Violet climbed in and as she turned to help her father up Ominis stopped them.

Mr. McDowell, this is the dowry you paid my family. Plus a little extra. Please accept this and do not alert the ministry or anyone else about Ophelia. Please."

Mr. McDowell took the check, "What about your father and his businesses?" He asked with a skeptic look.

"I do not care what you do with that information. They are not my family. Ophelia and Sebastian are."

"Very well, I understand. Thank you, and good luck to you... Ominis." Mr. and Mrs. McDowell boarded the carriage and it started to leave.

Ominis walked over to me and Ophelia. "Do you have her?" He asked placing a hand on hers and his other hand on my shoulder.
