It was the 4th day. I rushed inside my room and saw her studying. A smile crept over my lips as I AM PROUD OF MY WIFE.
"Wife" I called and she looked at me with a wide smile. I smiled back and sat beside her when she wrapped her arms around me and placed her head on my chest.
"Aye!" I pulled away
"What?" She asked
"I've just arrived let me change at least the germs-"
"Okay, Mr Stethoscope" She rolled her eyes. I chuckled and went into the washroom. I returned after having a good shower and looked at her sitting with a frown on her face. I went to the bed and took her on my lap.
"What's the matter? Why this frown?"
"I hate your diet!" She exclaimed while looking away
"You never told me"
"What?"
"You turn baby in your period?" I said meanwhile she gulped down and tried pulling away but I gripped her hip and pulled her closer.
"And I love babies" She looked down while grimacing and tugging her hair strands behind her ear. I chuckled and took the soup in the spoon. I placed the spoon near my lips and blew air to make it lukewarm. I made her drink the soup. She opened her mouth and slurped it slowly.
"Tia told me you had a headache. Why does she have to tell me these things? Can't you take that goddamn telephone and make a call?"
"I didn't want to trouble you-"
"Come on, wife!" She hung her head down. I sighed and hugged her.
"It's okay now don't make these faces anyways how's your stomach ache?"
"It hurts!" She almost cried and today I got to know something. This girl almost gets irregular periods and also her period lasts up to 6-7 days due to her diet. I sent Karuna to conduct a few tests and she let me know this. She never had a proper diet and I MUST know the reason.
"Come on, last bite" I insisted when she opened her mouth and I could see her eyes watering.
"Aight, don't eat it if you're done at least don't cry" I said meanwhile she nodded no and ate that last bite.
"No, it's not like that," She said while wiping her tears.
"So, it's like what?" I mocked when she frowned and hit my shoulder.
"Nothing" She sniffed
"Come on, tell me!"
"I- I never had a proper meal in these 21 years I mean whenever I used to come back after working the whole day I used to be so damn hungry. Of course, I had money but I used to save it for my books so I never ate any street food or something and in fact, when I used to come late at home I always went into the kitchen to check if something was left but I had to sleep with an empty stomach every time. I felt like crying out loud even in my periods no one cared for me a bit and see, I hated you but you're giving me everything possible. Y-you bought those chocolates, hot water bag and even cramp comforts meanwhile at my place my mom always used to taunt me on being weak I-"
"Shh," I shushed and placed my hand on her head, putting it on my chest.
"Calm down. You had to suffer when you were 'Aditi Kadam' now you're my 'WIFE' you don't have to suffer anymore. Forget about your old lifestyle now adapt to the Sawant family. I know, your mom used to torture you I can see everything from my balcony but now you're mine and no one would dare to touch you! Just watch us growing together and shining like a bright star especially you, I would love to be known as 'Mrs Aditi's husband' like it would be so special if someone stopped me on the road and asked to get an autograph from you. Just imagine, having hundreds of people who adore you and worship you as the best doctor I would be so proud in fact, I AM proud of you. I-I just wanna see you getting successful that would be my greatest success" She smiled with tears in her eyes and snuggled into the crook of my neck
"Thank you, thank you so much! I'm so lucky to get a husband like you indeed!"
"You didn't get me, girl, I was always yours and now YOU'RE MINE"
"Always yours" She whispered while pulling her face away. I moved my index finger on her jawline and cupped her cheek, tugging my fingers into her hair and having my thumb before her ear.

"Yours forever" She whispered and closed her eyes as I closed the gap between us. Our noses rubbed together making her shiver. She clutched my collar and breathed unevenly when I brushed our lips together. Our bodies started heating up when our breaths mingled. I sighed heavily and tucked her lips between mine. She trembled as if a current had passed down her spine and tugged on my hair. My hand travelled down her jawline to her neck, pulling her more into the kiss. She looked nervous but her lips moulded with mine PERFECTLY. Her lips were soft, and juicy adding intimacy to the kiss. I felt her skin getting goosebumps as I slid my left hand on her waist, crushing her against my physique. There was no gap left between us. She gasped, getting out of breath when I flipped our position, placing her on the bed. I parted away for a second and placed my hands beside her head. She breathed heavily while closing her eyes meanwhile I cupped her cheeks and kissed her forehead.
"No one in this bloody world can take you away from me" I whispered while attaching our foreheads. She smiled and opened her eyes, nodding while kissing my cheek. I looked into her eyes and again captured her lips. She almost jumped out of the sudden shock.
