96. Restaurant's profits

Mini came excitedly to everyone in the hall with some envelopes in her hands.

Simpy : (to Neil) Sir! Kya baat hai? ....Mini mam bahot khush lag rahi hai...

Neil: Even I don't know.... kuch announcement karni hai aisa bola... 

Mini: (Proudly) Meine aaj yeh meeting bulayi hai kyunki mujhe ek good news deni hai.. Hamare restaurant ka profit last month exceeding expectations aaya hai....aur agar profits isi tarah aate rahe to hum ek hi saal me yeh restaurant ka full loan repay kar payenge...and our restaurant will be independent.

Everyone was happy for the restaurant.

Mini: And because aap sab ne training itni acche se follow ki and also gave your best every single day....Aur its because of your efforts that our restaurant was able to perform so well....I declare that abse aap sab ko hamare restaurant me jitna bhi profit hoga uska waiters ko 1% and kitchen staff ko 2% diya jayega in addition to your salaries.

Everyone was surprised and amazed. They were feeling proud of themselves to earn the increment.

She brought some cheques in some envelopes with her and distributed them to all the staff except Neil.

Mini: So this is your last month's salaries and the profit percentage from the restaurant. Aaj aap sab apni family ke saath enjoy kariye... Aaj restaurant second half ke liye band kar dete hai.

Everyone left happily.

Naeem Bi came to Mini.

Naeem Bi: Mini... Main apne bete aur bahu ke paas aligarh ja rahi hu.... kuch hafte wahi rukungi.

Mini: Theek hai Naeem Bi.... Bahot enjoy karna aap.

Naeem Bi: Arya ka dhyaan rakhna.... (To Neil) Tum to rakh hi loge na hamari Mini ka dhyaan... Kyu?

Neil: (smiled) Ji Naeem Bi.

Naeem Bi: Allah tumhe saari buri nazar se bachaaye.

She went out too.

Mini came to Neil with an envelope and gave it to him proudly.

Neil took out the cheque and was amazed to see the amount.

Neil: 58,000?

Mini: Your salary of 30000 and 12% profit plus the additional 2%... so 14% of the profit. You were correct about the extent of growth of our restaurant.

Neil: Amazing!

Neil happily hugged her. She hugged him back.

Mini: You know what..... Now our restaurant will be independent within some months.....if this kind of profits last.

Both left the restaurant, went to haveli.

They returned to the haveli and saw Dadu Biji playing board games with Arya.

Arya: Veerbalika! Neil! Dekho main phirse jeet gayi!

Mineil smiled at her and came to them.

Dadu: Aa mera sher baccha... Baitho tum bhi Neil.

Mini: Dadu Biji... Chutanki....  Pata hai...... iss baar itna profit aaya hai na restaurant ka ki aisa hi chalta raha na to ek saal ke andar andar hi... kuch hi mahino me restaurant independent ho jayega.

Dadu Biji congratulated Mineil and Arya also was very happy.

Biji: Mini.... hum log pind ja rahe hai aur uske baad kuch dosto ke saath tirth pe jayenge... kuch 1 mahina jaisa lagega shayad....

Mini: Wow... itna lamba trip bana liya hai aap logo ne...

Dadu: Trip kaha itna lamba hai.... pind me to kitne hi mahine nikaalo pata nahi chalta.... puraane dost jo mil jaate hai... par iss baar pata hai Preet ke dadu ke saath jaa rahe hai... unka plan hai tirth pe jaane ka..... Preet bhi saath ja rahi hai.

Mini: Preet ne to kuch nahi bataya.... aaj mile the hum log restaurant me.

Biji: Are usko bhi nahi pata hoga... aaj shaam ko hi plan bana hamara.... isiliye to pehle pind ja rahe hai... vahan saare dosto ke saath milke sab jaayenge tirth pe.... Preet ke papa nahi ja sakte the aur unka dhyaan rakhne ke liye koi chahiye tha to Preet jayegi.... Ab naye term chalu ho gaya hai aur Preet ke tuitions me itne bacche nahi aa rahe hai na to vo free hai isiliye...

Mini: Hmm...

Biji: Kya baat hai Neil... Aaj bada shaant hoke baitha hai tu?

Dadu: Mere saamne kaha itna bol paata hai yeh... haina Neil?

Neil smiled and nodded lightly.

Dadu: (caressing his head) Ab to family hai na hum log?.... Ab kaise jhijak.

Neil: Ji Dadu.

Talking for about half an hour, Dadu Biji left as they had to leave for Preet's house.
