♪CHAPTER TWELVE♪

The gang, bar Tori, were currently at Karaoke Dokie, with Robbie and Rex performing a duet.

"I didn't know a puppet could sing so well." Lily laughed and applauded as the boys were finishing their song.

"I knew there was a reason he was allowed at Hollywood Arts." Andre joked back, making Lily laugh a bit more.

"I'm gonna get a soda." Jade got up.

"Oh, I'll come with you." Lily said, and the West girl waited for her best friend.

"Oh, can you get me one?" Andre asked.

"No." Jade responded, as she walked away, seeing as Lily was right behind her.

"Don't worry, I'll get you one." Andre thanked the girl and she quickly followed after Jade.

"Jade, what's got you all worked up, huh?"

"I don't know what you're talking about." The girl avoided eye contact as she waited for her drink at the bar.

"Okay, if you say so, but I'll be waiting when you want to tell me what's up with you." Lily smiled at Jade, who eventually smiled back, grateful for Lily in her life.

"Are you gonna sing anything?" Jade then asked, wanting to change the subject.

"I was thinking about it, but I'm not really sure what I'd sing." Lily shrugged, but she wasn't really that bothered about performing or not; she was just excited to see two of her friends perform.

"Could you take these back to the table, I have to run to the bathroom real quick?" Lily said to her friend, who then reluctantly took the drinks back to the table, only to confront a snobby girl who was flirting with her boyfriend.

By the time Lily went back to the table, Jade and a girl she didn't recognise were facing off at each other, while Cat, Beck and Andre were trying to ease the tension.

"Erm, what did I miss?" She looked to her friends for answers.

"We were just checking out the buffalo nuggets on the menu." Andre said nervously, hoping the topic of conversation would shift.

"Yeah we're definitely getting some, would you also like some buffalo nuggets Lily?" Beck added with a nervous chuckle.

"Uh, sure." Lily wasn't sure what was going on with Jade and the random brunette but it clearly wasn't good if the others were trying to deflect.

It was a little later and the singing contest was being announced.

"You guys are gonna do so well, you've got this." Lily encouraged her two friends while the announcer was introducing the first act.

As Haley and Tara were making their way to the stage, the former came up to the table in which the girls were sitting.

"Enjoy us." She said cockily.

"Enjoy my monkey fur." Jade shot back, while waving her bag in Haley's direction.

"Not your best line, Jade." Lily chuckled at her friend.

"Oh, shut up you." Jade playfully glared back at her best friend, making the latter chuckle again.

Soon, the two girls began their performance and it was... something.

Lily and Andre glanced at each other in disbelief during the song.

When the song did end, Lily looked around in confusion wondering why people would applaud such a performance but she brushed it off since it was almost time for Cat and Jade to perform.
