I was getting ready for the wedding ceremony of mine. I don't know why? But, I never really felt anything special about my wedding. Lot of my friends talk about their dreams about wedding ceremonies and receptions. Even so, I can't help but feel that, I am not cut out for weddings. I ignored all their ideas and thoughts about marriage. After all, how can I understand any of that? I grown up without even knowing, what exactly marriage means? Or what is the reason for marriage? I never tried to find out either. Because, I don't have any say in my wedding. My parents decided it and they are the one, who will decide everything about my wedding. From the moment, my mother told me about my marriage. I can't able to accept any thing that is related to marriage. I don't know why? It's just, as I hear marriage, my mind and heart wants to reject it so badly. So, even now, at my wedding day. I don't even know, what was the name of my soon to be husband. I never met him, not even once. I never heard his voice or anything else. I don't even, remember anything that my mother said about him and his family. I was never curious of it either. How can I explain, it's like.. it's like I never wanted to marry anyone. "Serena dear, I have come to pick you up, the groom is waiting for you at the altar" my father said. After some time, my father came to lead me to the main hall. Where my wedding ceremony is being held. I was looking down entering the main hall. I wasn't sure, I really prepared for this. But, whatever may it be, I'll accept it with my eyes closed. Because, my mother and father always think about my well being. I entered the altar. Even so, the man I am marrying is standing besides me. I didn't bother to look how he looks. I really wasn't able to make myself see who he is. So, I stood there staring at the floor. I didn't bothered lift my face even little.

Notary states, "Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to join this man and this woman matrimony"

Notary asked the groom, "Ash Ketchum, do you take this woman as your wife, to live together in matrimony, to love her, to honour her, to comfort her, and to keep her in sickness and in health, forsaking all others, for as long as you both shall live?"

'Ash Ketchum' I heard that name before too. Is he really him. I rised my face to see his face. I can clearly see his black hair through my veil. I focused to see more as. I saw his Auburn brown eyes.

He answered, "I do"

Notary starts asking me, "Serena, do you take this man to be your husband, to live together in matrimony, to love him, to honor him, to comfort him, and to keep him in sickness and in health, forsaking all others, for as long as you both shall live?"

I was lost in Ash Ketchum's memories years ago. "Do you!" Notary asked me. I panicked and answered without thinking "I do".

Notary states, "Repeat after me."

He said to Ash: "I, Ash Ketchum, take you Serena, to be my wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part."

After Ash repeated it, Notary asked me to repeat: "I, Serena Ketchum, take you Ash Ketchum, to be my husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part."

Notary asked Ash to place the ring on my finger and to repeat the following, "I give you this ring as a token and pledge of our constant faith and abiding love."

Then, Notary asked me to place the ring on Ash's finger. then asked me to repeat the same phrase as Ash.

After that, Notary asked us to join hands, then declares, "By virtue of the authority vested in me under the laws of the State of Florida, I now pronounce you husband and wife".

Notary declared us as husband and wife and then, he said to Ash: "You may kiss the bride"

Hearing and realising that, now it's time for the Groom to kiss the Bride. My face turned to red, thinking about all the people here. As me and Ash both turned to face each other. I decided on not look in his eyes directly. I looked down on floor. But, my eyes isn't obeying me. As my eyes constantly looking at Ash's face and looking down.

"Do I have permission to kiss you" I heard Ash's voice. I looked at him. He is looking right at me. I frozed there for a moment. But, soon I shaked my head in 'Yes' to him. He wasted no time as, he quickly moved my veil above my face and leaned towards my face. As I felt, his lips touching mine. I closed my eyes.

It felt like a jolt running through my veins. I never felt anything like this ever before. It took me few moments to me. To realise that, the kiss was over. After that, I gently wrapped my arms around Ash's left arm. Everyone present there congratulated us. After the kiss, I was unable see anything else than Ash. I really became unable to say anything and saw anything else Ash's face.
