Serena's POV:- I am trying to avoid falling asleep but, as much as, I avoid it. I am feeling more and more sleepy. So, I decided to read some thing. I soon went to Ash's, I mean our's book shelf. I began to search for some interesting book.
As much as, I can search. I searched, but, didn't find any books that interest's me. My husband is a really studious or I can say. A jerk for the normal people like me, who don't like studies. I never believed or thought people like him, really existed.
"Do you want anything to read" I heard Ash. I turned around, "Y-Yeah!" I replied nervously. I don't know, but, I always feel nervous by his attention. "I can find some books for you to read" he said and stood up from his work and came to bookshelf.
He soon grabbed an unknown book for me. I looked at it, it was titled Thinking, Fast and Slow. Just reading that title bored me even more. "I don't read that.. I mean! I like to read magazines and manga" I said with little hasitation.
He soon took one glance at the bookshelf and went outside the room. I wanted to stop him, but, I couldn't able to figure out how? I was left alone again. I think, maybe he doesn't likes me. But, I can't blame him, all the fault is mine.
After a few minutes, Ash came back. He also brought some magazines. He handed them over to me. "All of this is mom's. Give it back to her after you finished reading it" he said as. He again started to work on his laptop.
"O-Okay!" I was surprised, because, he really brought some magazines for me. Huh! So, I guess, he is not irritated by me. That's good! I mean... for him it's good. Because, he still has to face alot of habits of me like these ones.

I soon made myself comfortable on the bed and dug into the magazines. But, moment by moment, I was getting so distracted. I used magazines as a cover to spy on Ash. I never know, what men can be thinking. He might be seeing me in a dirty way too. Yeah! It's a definite possibility.
I continued to spy on Ash. But, how much time may seem to pass. He doesn't even flinching from that spot. He also glued his eyes on that stupid laptop's screen too.
I wasn't able to understand Ash. Doesn't all the men in the world look thier wives in that way. Especially, when? They're just got married and it's their first day together. So, really my husband really that much different from other men.
Even, after millions of thoughts. I wasn't able to find out, what his objective may be. Why don't he is looking at me? He doesn't taking a peek at me for just a second either. What exactly can be his objective. My mind is turning into pieces.
I recently got a new idea. If I can catch him peeking on me. 'Hey! Why are you peeking at me' I will say. Then, he 'Yo-You really saw that!'. Then me; 'I may look like that, but. You know, I actually got Oscar award in IQ'. Wait! Do people really give Oscar award for IQ.

I was totally in my own illusions. "Serena dear! Dinner is ready!" My mom in law snapped me out of it. For a sec, I can't believe it's already night time. I just started to read magazines in evening 3 or 4 o'clock.
Mom in law was right at the door. I invited her inside. "It's ok! I wasn't trying to steal your privacy" She said. "It's nothing like that mom! You can come inside" I said.
"It's ok! Dear! However, it's dinner time" She replied. "Ok!" I said in the excitement. Then, mom turned to Ash. "You too, come join us for dinner. Ash!" Mom asked him. "I'll eat later" he replied and continued to work.
I didn't like him speaking to mom like that. What's wrong with him? Why is he refusing to come to dinner. It's nothing about the work, So. What can it be? Mom in law got disappointed by his reply.
I decided on dragging him to dinner, like he did with me. I went to him and grabbed his hand as he looked at me. "Let's go! Mom is inviting us with so much care" I said. He turned and started to work with just one hand.
"I'll eat later" I replied. "That again! I can't believe you. You'll skip dinner just for doing extra work." I said. I was really expecting this from my husband.
"I am not hungry. It's enough reason" He said. "But-But, it's your own mother, who is calling you to join for dinner" I said. "Serena dear! It's ok! If he says it. It will correct," mom said. "But, mom!" I resisted. "It's ok!" Mom replied.

Since, mom is ok with it. I should leave it to that too. Soon, me and mom made our way out of the room. But, before we left the room. "I am sorry!" I heard Ash's voice. He is still kept working on that laptop. I wasn't able to understand.
Throughout the way to dinning table. Mom in law hasn't spoke a single word. As I know her, she is the most talkative person, I ever met. Still, she kept that silence upto dinner is finished.
I wanted to talk to mom in law. About, why did Ash apologised? "Mom!" I called to her. "Yeah! Serena dear! Did you wanted something" mom replied. Her voice feels like, she is getting emotional.
"I-I wanted to talk to you about As-, I mean my husband" I said. "Are you mad at him for, what he did?" Mom asked me smoothly. "How can I don't be!" I said in a little anger in my voice.
