The third task (part 1)

The third task was in about 15 minutes. I had to meet up with Harry and Cedric and before all of that, I had to go see Draco. I ran out of the common room and into the grounds, holding Harry's invisibility cloak in my arms. Everybody was already out in the field. I ran to Draco who was sitting in the stands.

As soon as he saw me, he started running towards me hurriedly. He came up and I ran into his arms. That's when I realized how dangerous this was, and how nervous I felt. That's also when I realized that I never wanted to leave Draco's arms.

I'm doing this for Harry and Cedric. I kept repeating in my head. I reluctantly let myself out of Draco's hug, but kept hold of his hands.

"Hannah, please be careful out there." He said to me in a caring voice that sounded really scared for me.

I looked at my feet, wondering if I really wanted to risk my life. Yes, Harry and Cedric! I thought in my head.

"I promised." I smiled at Draco.

He smiled back, making me blush furiously. When he saw me blushing, he just smiled even more, and pulled me closer, his hand around my waist.

"I-I love you." He said to me nervously, his face inches from mine.

I felt my heart burning up and melting as soon as he said that.

"I love you too." I replied, and kissed him, hoping that this wasn't going to be the last time I would see him.

I felt tears in my eyes when I thought about never seeing Draco again, but I couldn't say that I would never see him anyway. I said goodbye and walked behind the stands. I put the cloak over me, and walked over to where Harry was standing with Cedric, nervously rubbing his hands together and craning his neck to look around.

Hermione, Ron and Ginny walked up to the stands, but I knew I couldn't go back and say hello (or goodbye) to them now. I walked up to Harry, but he couldn't see me because I was under the invisibility cloak.

"Harry!" I whispered beside him.

He instantly turned to where I was standing, looking around.

"Harry!" I whispered again. "It's me!"

"Hannah?" Harry mumbled, looking directly at my eyes but not noticing. "You're under my invisibility cloak..." He trailed off.

He put his hand on my head and tugged at the cloak, but I tugged it back and kept it on.

"Watch it!" I said, a little louder to him, putting it back in place before it fell off, revealing me to everyone.

"Sorry." He whispered back.

He turned to Cedric and made a small gesture to where I was standing.

"I don't see her." Cedric mumbled back to Harry.

"She's under my invisibility cloak." Harry explained shortly, looking back at the spot where I was standing.

"Hey Cedric." I whispered, giggling a bit at the shocked expression of his face.

"Hi H-Hannah." Cedric muttered back.

It was as if he didn't know it was really me under the cloak.

"Gather around champions." Dumbledore said as all the champions came to him.

I stood under my cloak, listening in.

"This can be really dangerous. In this maze, you may even lose yourself, or feel the urge to do something you've never really wanted. You might do things even though people tell you not to, and you do them even though you don't know why." He said in a warning voice.
