The next night, Hermione and I stayed in the girl's common room, getting ready for the Yule Ball. We hadn't talked to anyone or visited anyone. Hermione still refused to tell anyone who she was going to go with.

We both took our Yule Ball dresses out. Hermione's dress was absolutely stunning! It was in the most beautiful shades of pink I'd ever seen with soft frills and flowing feelings about it. Hermione did her hair up beautifully too. She looked amazing! (Pic is Hannah's outfit) I decided not to straighten my hair, and left it in golden glossy waves. Hermione and I looked at each other.

We ran to the place where the Yule Ball was, and stood behind the wall nervously. We peaked out from the side, and saw girls in gorgeous dresses and all the guys in tuxedos. We came out together, and started to climb down the stairs. Harry spun around and looked at us in awe. I smiled at him.

When we reached the bottom of the stairs, Viktor Krum came up to Hermione and took her hand, leading her to the dance floor. I looked at Harry who stood in amazement with Parvati.

"Hey." I smiled sweetly to Harry.

"H-h-hi-hello." Harry stammered back, his eyes still glued to me.

He shook his head quickly and looked back at me.

"Whoa, you look so... amazing!" He said.

"Thanks. So do you, Harry. I see you've got a date." I said, grinning at Parvati.

She smiled back.

"So does Hermione." Parvati said, pointing at her and Viktor dancing, but Harry still didn't take his eyes off me.

Parvati left to get some drinks.

"Who're you going with then?" Harry asked me, smiling.

"No one asked me." I replied, feeling a little upset that I actually don't have a date to this dance.

"Really?" Harry asked looking shocked. "Why didn't anyone ask you?" He said.

I shrugged back. Then Draco caught my eye. He was standing by himself, looking at me with the same face Harry had.

"I've got to go, Hannah." Harry said, catching my attention. "The champions have to dance first. And that's pathetic because I'm a terrible dancer." He laughed.

"No way, I'm pretty sure you'll be amazing!" I smiled back at him.

"Yeah, likely story." Harry laughed back.

He gave me a quick hug, and went with Parvati to the other place. Then, Dean Thomas walked up to me looking really shy. At the same moment, Pansy Parkinson walked up to Draco. Draco and I looked at each other. Then Dean caught my attention again.

"Hannah, do you want to dance with me?" Dean asked hopefully.

I looked over and saw Pansy was asking Draco out too, and Draco was watching to see if I would say yes to Dean. I wanted to make Draco jealous. And anyway, Dean was a nice guy.

"Sure." I smiled sweetly at Dean, looking at Draco sideways, and seeing that Draco said yes to Pansy too.

Ugh!

"Let's go to the dance floor." I said to Dean happily.

We walked to the dance floor, and so did Draco and Pansy. I looked over and saw Ron standing with Parvati's twin sister Padma. He looked jealously at Viktor who was dancing with Hermione. Harry was dancing very seriously with Parvati, trying to get the steps right. Cedric was dancing with Cho. So that was Cho's date.

More people started to get on the dance floor, so did Dean and I, and Pansy and Draco. Neville and Ginny danced too. I started to danced really well with Dean, giving Draco some glances and trying to dance better than him. He did his steps too, dancing really well with Pansy.
