Hermione and I stood on the stands in the big grounds waiting for the first task to begin. I was feeling so terrified for Cedric and Harry- especially Harry.
"Hermione, I'm scared." I kept telling her. "Could we please go see Harry before the task starts?" I begged her for the millionth time.
Hermione sighed.
"I'm really scared too, Hannah, but we can't go see Harry right now. Well, unless we sneak into the tent." She said to me.
I got a huge smile on my face.
"Can we?" I said happily.
"You go, I really don't want to get in trouble after what Snape did to you." Hermione said, shivering at the thought.
"Alright." I mumbled back.
I made my way from the stands and jumped to the ground. I ran to the tent and went to the door of the tent, not opening it.
"Harry, is that you?" I whispered.
"Yeah." Harry's voice whispered back to me.
I calmed down a little bit.
"How are you feeling?" I asked him in a quiet voice, but not in a whisper.
"OK." Harry replied.
"Please be careful out there, Harry." I said, my voice breaking a bit.
"I will." Harry said to me in a quiet voice. "All I have to do is battle a dragon."
His sense of humour was too much for me. I came out from behind the tent flaps and jumped into a big hug, hugging Harry tightly. He hugged me back with a bit of surprise. I slowly let go and looked into his eyes.
"You'll be great." I said finally smiling. "Don't worry, you'd be fantastic."
Harry smiled back at me.
"Thanks, Hannah." He said gratefully, holding my hand happily.
I looked around for Cedric and saw him sitting on his bed, staring at his feet.
"Cedric." I said to him.
He looked up and smiled widely. Harry and I walked over to him. I sat down on his bed and gave him a huge hug.
"You'll be really great out there. Be safe." I said to him, smiling.
"Thank you." He smiled back, hugging me warmly.
I smiled at Viktor and Fleur who smiled back at me.
"Good day, champions!" Dumbledore said, entering the tent.
I got startled and jumped behind Cedric's bed. I sneaked out the back of the tent and came back t the front flap, listening to what they were saying.
"Now," Barty Crouch's voice came. "If you'd all gather around please. Put your hand in this bag and pull out a small dragon. Miss Delacour if you will. Ooh, the Webbed Scream. Mr Krum, the Chinese Firebolt, Mr Diggory, the Swedish Short-snout, and Mr Potter..." he trailed off. "The Hungarian Horntail." He said in the most dreaded voice ever.
I clasped my hand over my mouth. I had a feeling the dragon Harry chose wasn't the sweetest. I ran back to the stands to see Hermione talking with Ron and Ginny.
"Ron!" I shouted as I ran to them.
I stood next to Hermione.
"When you went to see the dragons with Hagrid, which was the most dangerous?" I panted.
"The Horntail." Ron replied. "I nearly fainted when I saw it." He shuddered at the memory. "Why'd you ask?" He asked me.
"Harry's got that dragon." I said, in a quiet, worried voice.
