I woke up the next morning. It was quite early. The sun was not even properly up yet, but the sky was pinkish. Hermione was asleep still. The whole of Hogwarts was probably still asleep since it wasn't even morning yet. I didn't feel like going back to sleep, so I slowly slid out of my covers and landed on the floor. I crept across to my trunk under my bed and opened it up, revealing everything inside. I looked at my clothes and picked some. I got changed.
I decided to finish off my home work, since it was nearly the end of this year, and I didn't want to do it at the last minute and hand in rubbish work. I started reading my Potions book. I took out a roll of parchment, my ink and my quill, and started finishing off my essay. After I finished my Potions homework, I read the last chapter of my DADA book. Done! I finished my homework.
I peaked up to see if Hermione was awake yet. No. She was still sleeping. I looked out the window. The sun was finally starting to come up. I let out a yawn. I felt a bit tired. I ignored it, and picked up all of my books and work. I placed them neatly back in my trunk and put my ink and quill inside too. I took out a book that Harry had given to me to read a few nights ago. It was called Flying with the Cannons. Apparently he read it at least ten times now. I read up to 2 chapters, when Hermione woke up. I smiled at her, Harry's book on my lap. Hermione looked at me.
"What're you doing up so early?" She asked, smiling.
She kicked her blankets to the edge of the bed. "Why didn't you wake me?"
"You were sleeping." I replied, closing Harry's book and putting it under my bed, on top of my trunk. "I woke up really early, even before the sun came up."
Hermione rolled her eyes. She got changed and got ready. We both walked down to the Gryffindor common room. Parvati was there with Lavender Brown, and they were whispering and giggling on the couch by the fire. They giggled even more as we passed them. Hermione and I looked at each other, confused. We decided to ignore them-they were always like this. We went to the other side of the common room and sat on the couch, laughing and talking until Ginny, Harry and Ron made it down.
"Hey guys." Hermione smiled as they came over to us.
"How long 'til breakfast? I'm starving!" Ron whined, sitting next to me and Hermione on the couch.
"That's new." I replied sarcastically.
Ron was about to say something, when his eyes suddenly got huge as he stared at my leg.
"H-Hannah, your leg!" He said, sounding alarmed.
Everyone looked at my leg, which was really awkward.
"What about it?" I asked confusedly.
I looked down at it, and saw what Ron was so worried about.
"There's a scar!" Hermione exclaimed.
I stared at it. Sure enough, there was a huge scar up my leg. It was exactly where that deep cut had been from the night at the graveyard. I touched it lightly with my finger. Memories flashed inside my head of that night. I could see the man coming out. I could see Cedric and me tumbling to the ground after being hit by the spell. I could see Cedric slowly closing his eyes, and I could see Voldemort coming back to life.
I gasped and sat up really quickly. All my friends were looking at me, concerned. I stared at the huge scar on my foot, and then at Harry's forehead. My scar wasn't anything like his. It wasn't too important-my scar...I think. I looked at Harry in the eyes. For a moment I didn't know what to say to any of my friends.
"Brilliant." I mumbled.
"Let's go have breakfast." Ginny cut in.
We walked down to the Great Hall. I was walking behind Hermione so nobody would notice my huge scar going up and down my leg. Ginny rolled her eyes and grabbed me by the shoulders, pulling me beside her.
