The Triwizard Champions

Everyone piled into the Great Hall whispering amongst them excitedly as they sat down in their schools. Dumbledore walked up to the speaking place with the Goblet of Fire sitting on a stand behind him.

"Now is the selection of our champions!" He announced.

He reached his hand towards the Goblet of Fire and one little piece of paper shot out from it.

"The Durmstrang champions is, Viktor Krum!" He said.

There was a big applause. Another piece of paper shot out.

"The champion for Beauxbatons-Fleur Delacour!" He announced.

The people clapped, and the girls from Beauxbatons cheered. Another piece of paper was shot out once more.

"And the Hogwarts champion-Cedric Diggory!" He announced.

The whole place exploded with applause. I was screaming my head off and cheering for Cedric. He turned to me and waved. I waved back. He and I are good friends, but we don't get to hang out much. But suddenly, another piece of paper shot out. Professor Dumbledore read it and mumbled.

"Harry Potter." My mouth hung open in shock.

Harry?

"Harry Potter." Dumbledore repeated a little louder.

Harry ducked down beside me, trying to hide.

"Harry Potter!" Dumbledore yelled, making me jump a bit.

"Come on, Harry." Hermione urged. "Harry for goodness sakes!" She pushed him out and he awkwardly made his way up to the front teacher's table and took a piece of paper from Dumbledore's hands.

I watched nervously as Harry entered the back room where the Triwizard Champions went. I looked at Hermione for help, but she looked as shocked as I was. I looked for Ginny but she was sitting far away with Luna and Neville looking amazed too. I turned to Ron, but he looked furious. I didn't want to ask him anything so I slowly looked away. I wish I could've talked to Harry, but he was already gone. What was happening? I wanted to run after Harry, but I knew I'd probably get like two weeks detention.
