CHAPTER 12

[F.N] stands for 'Friend's name'

"We're here." Stan listened to you speak, seeing the small house in front of you guys. It wasn't anything like a mansion, but it still seemed well kept. "It looks so nice," he said. You began getting out of the car, Stan soon following. "Let's look around first before getting the bags," you told him. He just listened and followed behind you, watching you reach the front step and unlocking the door. He looked around, seeing the living room and Kitchen area. At that moment, actually stepping foot into the house was when he realized just what he was walking into. From the moment you asked him to move in with you, up until seconds before he stepped through the front door, his mind hadn't processed that this was all his reality. Sure, he knew and realized what this all meant, but it felt like when he had woken up from a day dream. The average person would've felt overwhelmed and anxious, but to him, the feeling felt refreshing. It excited him once everything clicked, as he stood in your new living room, he couldn't help smiling to himself, looking around, realizing he had a new beginning with you.

"This one's your room," you told him, showing him the basically empty room, except for a small desk and what looked to be a twin bed. A closet built into the wall could be seen as well. "We can do whatever you want to it, but that's all that's in it now." He couldn't help but keep smiling "It's perfect," he mumbled under his breath. "Not really, but whatever makes you happy Stan," you patted his back turning away from the entrance of his new room. "C'mon and help me with your stuff," you said, putting the car keys down on a small table by the entrance.

You and Stan made your way into the Walmart. Stan grabbed a cart and began pushing it in front of you two. It was around 9:30, and you guys managed to unload your car, but after beginning to unpack, you realized some basic things were missing. So now here you were at a nearby Walmart trying to get everything you were missing. You looked at the notes app on your phone where you had quickly jotted a few reminders down. "We gotta get some food too, besides all this," you said. "Yeah, i'm hungry," Stan replied. He had his arms crossed against the shopping carts handle bar, walking at your pace. "We need napkins, more toilet paper, you need sheets." "Yeah, do we have enough money for it all though?" he asked "Yeah, I have some saved up in my bank account for this, I'd say we're good for a couple weeks if we really wanted too." "You've been planning this for a while," Stan stated. "Ever since I got my acceptance letter," you replied.

You and Stan went up the aisles, cautious of anyone who crossed your path, because who knows who you could bump into late at night. Once you guys had gotten all your food items, (which half were probably unnecessary, but the idea you guys had freedom to buy whatever you wanted possessed you two), you went on and searched for Stan's bed sheets. "You think these seem good?" he asked. He was pointing at some navy blue, almost black colored ones, stating on the packaging that they kept cool during the night. The price was marked at $34.96. Just as you were about to answer, a voice yelling your name cut you off. Immediately, you and Stan turned around, but once you caught glimpse of the stranger down the aisle your nerves calmed down. Stan however was very much still on edge, until you spoke a 'no way' under your breath.

"[name]! Oh my god, out of all places," the stranger said. He approached you giving you a quick hand dab before pulling you into a hug. "[F.N], Oh dude it's been so long," you greeted after pulling away from the familiar face. "Yeah, well what have you been up to?" your old friend asked. "Moving, Oh and by the way, this is Stan," you turned around back to Stan, wrapping an arm around his shoulders. You felt him tense for a moment before he let himself be pulled into your side. "He's my boyfriend," you stated. Not even a second later Stan yelled out "What?!" You laughed at his reaction, turning to see his face bright red.
