A lot of time passed, each boy had time of their own to live their life. Alexander had barely slept, his heart still ached despite having time to himself in order to try get his mind off of all the drama - yet he chose to not take care of himself and instead continue his old habits. Time had finally come up for the presentation with Burr, which he did stress over quite a bit. To anyone who hated public speaking, they would have loved to have Alexander as their partner because the boy just spoke so much. As soon as he opened his mouth it seemed as though words just could not stop streaming out - he clearly held some sort of passion. But Burr of all was a person who liked to talk less, which made their dynamic duo frustrating. However the work they put in payed off and they got through it together. Burr was finally being able to free himself from having to put up with Alex any longer - funnily enough, the situation including Thomas did not come up between them any more.
John himself rooted for his friend from afar, and although Alex was to caught up in his own world and not affected by anything to do with John's feelings - Laurens was embarrassed. For him, it was slightly awkward and he had trouble saying whatever he wanted to say without the fear of sounding weird, or as if he was implying something deeper than the reality of his words. Lucky for him, the secret stayed between the two of them so no others from the group knew. Although Thomas had kept unusually silent, John still had the paranoia resting in the back of his mind which made him question if slipping up would come back to bite him.
As for Thomas... The boy had spent the rest of his week stuck inside as if he were in a pandemic. His mundane life consisted of the same routine: meds, chores, food, reading, sleep. Sometimes he'd get creative and pick up a pen in order to write something, anything. A poem, a story, maybe a book - but nothing came to mind. His writers-block was fuelled by an empty feeling of boredom as he sat in his chair most nights. Madison visited whenever possible but for the most part the taller had spent his time alone, or bothered by any of his siblings. His free time however, was spent thinking or reading - for the first time he had finished an entire book in under a week in fact!
The final weekend was when his brain finally clicked and he realised that he was going to return to his usual cycle, this caused him to go on an automatic cleaning spree, organising his entire room and getting his school clothes ready.
It seemed like so much time stuck into such a short period, before Thomas has regained access to his devices and began to mentally prepare for waking up super early and going to a teen filled hell.
Monday 19th rolled around and Thomas had woken up early, groaning to himself as his eyes stung with a heavy tiredness. The boy had slowly gotten himself ready, putting on his clothes before neatly patting them down to make sure he looked at least presentable. However he wasn't alone in the mornings, his older sisters also had early places to attend, jobs in fact. The loud kettle would often disturb him in the mornings.
Thomas yawned as he headed down the stairs. His shoes were on, his backpack slung around his shoulder with all the necessary components. He had brushed his hair and washed his face - contemplating shaving - before heading to the busy downstairs. The entire house was bustling, Mary was making a few cups of coffee, Jane had already left and Mrs. Jefferson was kissing her husband goodbye as she held little Anne, standing beside the large dining table on which eight year old Lucy was eating her cereal. Today Thomas had the opportunity to join the chaos of the early morning Jefferson house-hold. He rubbed his eyes, groaning as he made it down to the bottom floor, entering the kitchen, in time to have little Lucy barge past him, almost spilling the remains of her cereal bowl. "Ay watch out" he groaned tiredly as the girl headed over to wash up her own dish. Thomas headed over to Mary who was hurrying slightly as she drank her fresh coffee, the sounds of his mother telling little Randolph to properly put his shoes on ringing in the backround. Thomas sighed as he grabbed himself a plain white mug, making himself some hot instant coffee as the fuss went on. He managed to fish the milk out of the fridge and complete all the necessary steps to making his perfect coffee with their amazing coffee machine - before his mother called out to the distracted Mary behind him. This caused Mary to quickly rush over to their mother and the small twins. All the loud noise overlapped as Thomas tiredly sipped his warm beverage, watching little Lucy stand beside the twins with her red bookbag in her hands, her blonde hair reflecting glitter. It took five whole minutes until Mary had rushed out of the door with the three little ones, struggling to get them inside of the car. Mrs. Jefferson stood in the doorway, watching them with motherly concern as Thomas sighed, he was already catching a headache.
