It took Thomas a few rushed minutes to get into town, but alas, there he was, walking towards the restaurant. The boy sighed, mentally preparing himself for whatever he was going to say and whatever was going to happen - he could really expect the unexpected.
It seemed to be a slightly busy day as a few people were inside, and it was creeping up to 5pm, meaning that a lot more people were going to show up in the next hour, because it was Friday... and 6pm is always ideal date night time for every couple.
Thomas sighed to himself, wondering if this was a good idea at all, the place was particularly crowded after all... and he knew Alexander got... emotional. He waited a moment, taking a seat on the wooden bench a little before the doors, when another doubtful thought popped into his head. What if Hamilton stood him up? It's Alex, afterall... Jefferson wouldn't blame him for doing something so annoying, especially after everything that has happened over the last month. All he could do in this moment was sigh and wait, hoping that Alexander kindly didn't decide to embarrass him. He pulled out his phone, sending Alexander a quick text 'I'm on a bench nearby' but it didn't seem to go through. Did Alexander not have any type of data? how odd. Jefferson sighed and unsent the message, but felt slightly relieved that his text didn't go through, in some way it brought him comfort, possibly because it alluded to the idea Alex had left his home, and was not in fact going to ditch Thomas.
The boy put away his phone, taking a breath. He once again looked to the restaurant just a little to his left, he'd suddenly realised how underdressed he was. Coming from a fancy family of girly designers and fashionistas he should've learnt a thing or two... but no.
The sky was still bright in the summer sky, and people exited the place happily. Jefferson's gaze shifted between the happy couples before he finally caught sight of a familiar tired face. Hamilton didn't seem at all thrilled as he also looked at the young people exiting the French restaurant before he finally noticed Thomas sitting on the bench. The two teenagers locked eyes before Jefferson awkwardly broke the gaze and looked away, waiting until the shorter man reached his side. Alexander wore a simple brown sweater, it looked nicely knitted, beneath it he had on a white shirt to match with a pair of slightly oversized sage green chinos and simple black trainers. His hair reached only a little past his ears as it rested above his shoulders - it looked unusually soft, as if he'd washed it fairly recently. It reflected a dark brown colour in the light of the burning sun. It was clear that neither of them had any words to say as they greeted eachother with an almost civil yet awkward look. Thomas avoided looking directly at the guy before him as he slowly stood up - "Uh... hey"
"What did you want." Alexander's voice came through soft yet still somewhat stern as he looked to Thomas. "Well uhm... you wanna go inside?" Thomas gestured to the restaurant before them causing Alexander to look back at it momentarily. "Wait you're serious?" he asked, sounding as if he was in disbelief for a brief moment, before looking back at Jefferson - "Uh.. yeah?" The taller boy raised a confused eyebrow at the younger as he spoke. "Well you always complain about my privilege so-" but Alex shook his head to shut him up. "Yeah yeah, I get it, you're rich. But I mean the fact you're actually offering" Thomas sighed with a groan as Alexander spoke, waving him off before heading towards the restaurant without another word. "Just take the opportunity." Round gold-lined tables and chairs stood before the restaurant as Jefferson held open the fancy wooden door, which stood between large panes of thick glass and had yellow lights hung and neatly nailed up beside and above the frame - however not lit yet as it was daytime. Alexander rolled his eyes in response as he walked straight through, instantly looking around at the dark cozy walls and pretty, dim lights which hung from the ceiling above the rows of seats and tables. "Not even a thank you?" Jefferson furrowed his eyebrows at Hamilton as he stepped inside too, but the boy was too busy looking around starry-eyed at the layout of the food place to respond. Thomas sighed as he watched the boy slowly walk forwards, his eyes slowly taking in every aspect of the interior as he moved from one side of the place to the other. Jefferson accompanied him by his side, leading him a little bit as he walked to a well shaded and isolated table at the very back of the restaurant, making sure that no other customers would bother them - his paranoia raised slightly at the realisation of how odd he and Alex must look together, tied in with the fact he wouldn't be caught dead being seen outside of school with Alexander.
