The morning sun was locked behind the dark green curtains, an annoying alarm caused Alexander to sit up in his bed, confused as he glanced to the still sleeping figure on the floor. A sigh escaped his lips - which were rather dry in the mornings that would soon go away though. A soft snoring oozed in the background as the tired boy sat on his bed, contemplating laying back down and drifting off into the abyss, what will the school do? Call his parents? He doesn't have any. Kick him out? yes. Yes it will.
With a sigh he rose from the bed, he hated doing this way too much - but he was determined. He wanted to make it.
After a few minutes Alexander found himself walking into his room with two mugs of coffee, his eyebags hanging low under his eyes, and his hair brushed. He wore his blue uniform, the rest had been put in the laundry room. In approximately an hour Theodosia would arrive to get the two little ones ready for the day. The others who lived in the care never seemed to leave their rooms - it got rather lonely.
With a sigh the boy sat on his bed, the grey covers made for once, sitting neatly on top of the mattress - Alexander took a sip of his coffee. It wasn't bad. It was bitter, but he liked it better that way because he could convince himself he was drinking raw caffeine which would (usually) keep him up all day. He looked to Thomas who was still on the floor enveloped in the covers, he was sure that could not be comfortable... His eyes lingered on him a little while longer, waiting for him to wake up, but after a long minute he hadn't even stirred. Perhaps he really wasn't going to wake up - how come he didn't hear the alarm? With the shake of his head, Alex brought out the phone he'd chucked into his blazer pocket, unlocking it as he stared at the home screen - it was 7:30. He has an entire hour to spare. An entire hour he could've used to sleep, but no. He was already sipping his coffee anyways. The boy swiped on his screen, perhaps he could do some light revision? That would be the best option. Yet instead, he opened his contacts, texting someone familiar.
