A silence had resumed over the next few days. No verbal or physical conflicts happened between Jefferson and Alexander - not including the occasional glares. It had now been a week since their last little spat. It was almost peaceful.... Until hell reigned again.

Alexander walked down the hallway with Eliza by his left side, laughing to the young woman as she accompanied him to his locker. Alexander opened his mouth to speak as he placed away books he didn't need - just to be interrupted by John's distant yell. "ALEX!" Both Eliza and Alex looked up to where the voice had come from, watching as a distraught John sprinted through the hallway and towards them, a worried and out of breath Lafayette trailing behind. "John?" Alex looked to his friend with a confused smile as he approached, huffing. "Alex! Have you read this??" Alex's smile slowly vanished as he looked to John and Lafayette who was panting behind him - suddenly noticing his bewildered expression. "Read what..?" he asked, his heart suddenly racing - he couldn't help but feel a pit open up in his stomach, pumping nerves through his body. "It's insane!" commented Lafayette, still slightly out of breath as he looked to Alexander - who was grabbing the newspaper which John had handed him.

Alex wasted no time as he looked to the newspaper, his eyes widening with horror as he read the bold text on the front page - 'BLUE MOUNT HIGH'S NEW  ABUSER!' A picture of Alexander that may have been taken for a social media post printed below. Eliza looked over Hamilton's shoulder in curious worry, unable to believe her eyes as Alexander's widened in shock. Lafayette and John both watched their friend's horrified expression fill to the brim with anger as he scanned the page.

'Blue Mount has had it's fair share of weirdos but wait until you hear about this! Junior year Alexander Hamilton has been busted by his ex - turns out he's not as sweet as he seems. Alexander turns out to be an abuser and a cheat! His ex-girlfriend anonymously submitted this news, the guy is an abusive manipulator who guilt tripped his girlfriend and then cheated on her the last summer of 2021. Apparently Alexander had called her many words including slurs, she described the guy as 'aggressive' and 'violent' trying to break into her house at some point - so be careful people! The truth is out and everyone knows, Alexander has something to admit, until then for any extra information email @newspapersBlueMount.Bluemount.sch.us'

Alexander's eyes widened as he reached the bottom of the text, Eliza beside him was shocked. Alexander felt the embarrassment and rage rise in him. He crumpled the paper in his hands, looking up to John. "I know. It's real bad.." John said, his face lathered with worry. But Alex left no reply as he held the paper, his mind and body racing with all types of feelings, primarily rage and panic. Lafayette and John looked over as Eliza put a soft hand on Alexander's shoulder, her face painted over with worry. "I'm going to fucking kill somebody." He lowly spat, his eyes darkening as he tore the paper in one swift movement. Lafayette and John shared in a concerned and slightly fearful look as Alexander stepped to storm off but was stopped by Eliza's soft hands - which pulled him to face her.

Jefferson and Seabury both had the same look of fear strewn across their faces as Washington threw down the paper with force. "Is this a JOKE to you??" yelled the man, as the boys sat silently in the chairs. "Do you know what you just did??" the teenagers sat in silence as Washington's glare rained down on them, waiting for them to speak. Seabury had his mouth glued shut with fear as he trembled - looking over to Jefferson in surprise as the taller boy managed the courage to speak up. "I'm sorry sir-" but Washington's booming voice shot Jefferson's dead. "SORRY?! I'm not the one you have to apologise to young man!" Washington looked down at the two boys as they sunk into their seats under the pressure of their principal's gaze. "Look.. it was all my idea, Samuel didn't do anything wrong he had no idea I edited the papers" muttered Jefferson in deceit, earning a shocked, wide-eyed glance from Seabury, who said nothing to defend Jefferson in turn. Washington took a look at Samuel before returning a hard glare at Thomas, who refused to make any type of eye-contact with the frustrated man. "Thomas. You made a stupid decision. I know you're angry at Alexander but this is completely unacceptable behaviour." He scolded sternly, getting a quiet "I know.." muttered from Thomas as the boy kept his gaze fixated on his feet. "I expected so much better from you. I'm more than just disappointed." Thomas frowned at Washington's words but took a breath to calm himself. "Seabury. You may leave." he ordered at once, looking to the boy as he got up in an instant, fearfully scrambling out of the office as soon as the words left Washington's mouth. "As for you" he looked to Thomas after letting his eyes wander over the paper again, "You're going to be suspended for a month." Jefferson's eyes suddenly widened significantly as fearful shock crossed his face - lord did he know his parents would drag him to hell. "W-what?!" the boy looked pleadingly to the teacher "There's no way... Our school year ends in three months! I can't-" but the sound of Washington sternly clearing his throat sounded, stopping the boy from speaking "Thomas. It's either that or you're getting kicked from the end of school prom" Thomas listened before slumping back in his seat, letting out a distressed sigh.
