The two bickering voices were the only two filling the area as Thomas looked to Alexander, expecting to exchange looks. But Alexander was already popping his head out of the two thick doors. Seeing this, Jefferson quickly pushed the second door open too, stepping out into the cafeteria to see two familiar figures bickering.

There, a few feet away in-between the round tables stood two figures which Thomas and Alex felt they had to take accountability for. For Alexander, it was in a motherly way, as if he had a problematic child. For Thomas it was a face-palm moment.
Laurens and Burr stood there, exchanging angry words - both in positions which looked like a fake semi-relaxed stance, as if they were both refraining from throwing hands. Burr was stood up straight with his arms crossed whilst Laurens stood across from him wearing an angry yet sly smile - which Alexander recognised as the beginning of his anger.

"Really?" came Laurens' voice, able to be clearly heard from across the empty cafeteria - he was lucky there was no students or teachers nearby to crowd around.
"Well I don't think Alex would lie to me, but I'm not so sure about you" he added, his tone of voice clearly giving away his annoyance although he tried to keep it level and avoid breaking out into anger in front of Burr. Burr smiled awkwardly and shook his head as the boy spoke, patiently waiting for him to finish before beginning to speak. However, Aaron was cut off by Alexander's voice as the boy quickly headed towards the scene. "What the hell is going on?" the shorter looked at the two sharply causing both of their heads' to snap towards him. At first they wore looks of confusion, but they quickly switched to expressions of realisation and shock with varying degrees. Laurens turned himself to face Alexander, his face going through a few phases of emotions as he opened his mouth to speak before he was even sure on what exactly to say. Burr on the other hand kept his composure as he watched the scene he was in unfold, he had always been too busy or too polite to create a mess of a situation or argue against someone. You'd have to really push his buttons.

Jefferson stood in the backround of the mess, looking at what was happening from the heavy library doors which he had stepped out of. He himself had a look of confusion strewn on his face, with furrowed eyebrows and questioning eyes. For a moment he felt lost as Alexander's voice spoke clearly to the two boys - though it tuned into the backround as a murmur. That's when he finally got it. The feeling he knew exactly what this was about.
Suddenly, he felt himself stepping forward, still tiredly dazed and in less control over his movements and thoughts than usual. Jefferson arrived closer to the scene, standing beside Hamilton who seemed to be too immersed in his own emotions and speech to realise Thomas was now at his side - until he spoke, that is. The shorter flinched as Jefferson gave his own piece of mind to the two boys, "Is this what I think it is?" he asked with a hint of cocky-ness in his thick southern voice - his eyebrows furrowed closely to his dark eyes.
The two previously bickering boys flashed their attention from Alexander to Thomas. Whilst Laurens was the more understanding of the two, Burr was now the slightly more puzzled one. Alexander himself looked at Thomas in confusion as the taller crossed his arms, not sparing the shorter even a glance.

"And what does that mean?" spoke up Burr, his voice oddly calm in comparison to what had played out. "I think you know, actually" Thomas gave Aaron a quick yet threatening glimpse before looking over to Laurens.

"Thomas what are you doing??" came Alexander's slightly agitated yet mostly baffled voice, the shorter was staring at Thomas with a hard look which the taller chose to ignore for the moment. "You two stop bickering. John I'll take care of it, me and Aaron have a few things to discuss anyways" ordered Thomas coolly, his voice low and his posture scarily straight as if he were a ticking bomb. A few moments of silence played out before John hesitantly stepped away, feeling a sense of embarrassment begin to flood in as he met eyes with Alex himself on the way. Alexander looked to Thomas after locking eyes with Laurens, an expression of shock on his face - though it was oddly slight. The taller noticed the look he was given and reacted with a triumphant sort of feeling joined by a momentary smirk. He wasn't sure why he felt this way. Alexander's expression lead him to believe it was the correct reaction. He'd never felt this way before, it was like finding feeling in a big world for the first time - or - all over again. Alex opened his mouth in order to say something but got stuck on his words, leaving him with a confused face. Thomas turned back to Burr who awkwardly stood there as if waiting to be dismissed, or see what else happens. Dark eyes looked over Aaron's shoulder to watch the furthering figure of John disappear all the way from across the other side of the cafeteria before looking to Burr's straight face. "I suggest you don't get into any more trouble" stated Thomas with a steady voice, holding strong eye contact with the slightly smaller teenager. "That's rich coming from you" replied Burr in an equal tone, with a hint of sarcasm buried inside it. Jefferson put in no more effort as he turned to Alexander casually, still standing closely before Burr, "Let's go, I don't have time for this." he stated.
