Deon twitched and trembled; the beast people, the one that looked like a cat and the other a snake strapped him into a chair. His legs were locked to the legs of the chair, arms on the arms and so on. There was a long back to the chair, where they tied his head to.

Deon was trying not to cry, but all he could do was be quiet while the tears started back up on him. They placed sticky pads on him with wires that led up to a machine that looked like an old fashion medical device.

Once they were done, they walked out of the room and left him alone in the dark. All he could hear was the occasional beating of the machine. He pleaded with the silence, wanting nothing more than to return to his little room.

When he saw the silvered alien walk in, his stomach dropped. There was a small glass in his hand; the liquid was clear. Deon had a firm feeling that it wasn't water or anything that he find pleasant.

With no explanation of what was about to happen, the alien known as Vassenhilo grabbed Deon's jaw and pried it open, and poured the liquid down his throat. At the angle Deon was at, he couldn't spit it back out all he could do was swallow it.

Once he was done, Vassenhilo walked away, leaving Deon on his own. It was bitter, so much so that he could still taste it several minutes after it had gone down his throat. When the taste subsided, the burning began; at first, it just felt like he had a warm meal or hot drink. Then it became worse. Causing Deon to start to pant and salivate.

As the burn became hotter, Deon's body started to convulse, the pain unbearable.

Hours. It had to have been hours of this pain. By the end of it, when whatever it was slowly started to fade, Deon was weak, his limbs were jello, and his mind faded into unconsciousness. He let out soft sobs; he wanted to leave, go home, and awaken from this horrible nightmare.

He heard the door open again. Deon started to mumble his nos. Pleading out loud, but came out no more than a whisper.

There was a pinch at his arm. As quickly as that happened, he was awake, aware of everything once again. He looked up into the face of Vassenhilo.

Who stood there with another glass with a different liquid. Deon clenched his teeth down, as Vassenhilo went to pry his jaw open again.

Deon could tell he was getting frustrated, and he grabbed his hair and yanked his head about, trying to get his mouth open. Deon closed his eyes to help keep him focused on keeping his jaw closed.

He heard something else come running into the room, and that was when he expected one of those guards to help the alien.

Instead, he heard the crash of glass hitting the floor and a weight press into his lap. Followed by a very angry-sounding growl. It was aligned to a wild animal that had gone completely rabid feral.

Deon slowly opened his eyes to see a soft flow of hair that the little light from the hall bounded off.

"Ruma?" he questioned; he hadn't once thought that she would find him, let allow protect him from the alien she seemed to be a pet too.

Ruma was sitting on his lap, snarling and snapping like a dog towards Vassenhilo; the glass of liquid he was trying to put down Deon's throat was tossed to the ground and shattered as she used her body to protect Deon.

"This is not typical of you. Why are you protecting this human?" Vassenhilo asked.

Ruma signed something. That Deon couldn't make out from this angle.

"Yours? You have one, and they are in your tower. Not this one."

The conversation continued until Vassenhilo relented when Ruma growled, "Brude."

"Fine." he looked back at something, "You there help her get this thing untied and back to her tower." Vassenhilo looked back at her. "If he should happen to find his way outside unattended again, you lose him, and he goes straight back to being used for whatever I wish."

Ruma snorted and turned to Deon, quickly untying him as Vassenhilo walked away. Ratok appeared over her shoulder and started to untie him as well.

Whatever Vassenhilo had put into Deon's body to wake him up was fading away. He was weak again.

He could hear a few words that Ratok exchanged with Ruma before dropping off existence into sleep.
