Ratok returned to the room not long later after dropping off the items at the guard house. He walked in to Ruma on Deon's lap and her head on his chest while they sat at the table together with Ruma's personal pad propped up and they were scrolling through something.

"So than Quadrant 4 and Quadrant 43 are attempting to breed the same qualities?" he pointed at something.

Ruma nodded.

"You two want some more alone time?" Ratok said walking over to the chair next to the bed.

Deon jumped at Ratok's voice, but settled when he saw who it was. "No, we were just finishing our conversation." he swivelled the chair around to face Ratok.

Ratok was sat and leaned back in the chair, Ruma's head popped off of Deon's chest.

"Is something wrong?"

Ratok wasn't looking, just had his head over to the side. Ruma let out a bleh noise, and Ratok rolled his head over to her. She asked the question again.

"I'm just tired I promise nothing is wrong." he said, then stretched his arms out. "Vassenhilo's pissed off." he added.

"Why?"

He shrugged, "Apparently, you were supposed to be heading off what happened in Quadrant 86,"

"I don't think I got the details of what happened." she hopped down from Deon's lap and crawled over and hopped up onto the bed next to the chair.

Ratok went over what had happened. Ruma looked greatly concerned. She sat there going over things in her head, "They have only been on a starve condition for a week. They shouldn't have resorted to that so quickly especially since they had everything else, water, entertaiment, shelter."

Deon was intently watching the conversation. "Why does that matter?"

"The more of other needs that are meet, the longer one can hold out before resorting to something that horrific. We also didn't just stop feeding them, we let the food dwindle meaning they also didn't resource their food."

Deon, only kept up with half of that. "Okay-" he paused thinking about what he was confused on. Which was all of it. "They are bad at managment?"

Ratok also sat there confused but not as much as Deon.

Ruma jump down and headed towards the door, to feel herself getting picked up. She looked up and saw Ratok walking her back. "Nope, we will go in the morning, I am tired and your not going out alone,"

Ruma whined, and pawed the air, but otherwise didn't argue.

"I'm not sorry I don't trust the other animal-kin" he said crossing his arms after putting her down.

Her mind raced off for a spilt moment.

"I'm not sorry, I don't trust the other maegers."

It came back and she blinked. "Than take me in morning?" she questioned.

Ratok nodded. "In the morning."

It wasn't too long before Deon and Ratok were fast asleep on either side of her. Ruma waited for a while that sat up in bed. She sighed, as her mind was going far to fast for her to sleep. She slipped out of bed, and walked over to the table and sat down.

For a while she listened to the sounds of her Maeger and Brude sleeping, the occasional breath in and out, or soft turn of the bed.

She looked down at her stomach, as her thoughts started up. Ruma hated her thoughts, and her memories they very rarely focused on the good.

"Your in heat Ruma, your endanger. I want you inside for three days, just for your safety."

She leaned foward and placed her head on the table, with her arms covering. The words of her late Maeger circled her mind.

"Orkan.." she whispered against the silence of night.

There was times where he was extremely intense, and was hotheaded. He was her protector, he had always been. She knew she was a bit of a problem, but she could only imagine how much she was now, years later looking back. Would he be angry with her now? Or would he be defeated cause he couldn't keep her safe from another in her heat.

A beat from her pad pulled her from her head. She tapped the screen which pulled up one of the cameras outside the building. She froze for a moment, watching the 3 second video clip replay a couple times, as she watched the Badger move around and enter the elevator.

She could ask any logical question, like what was he doing there? For the soft ding from the elevator door could be heard from down the hall, she scrambled and locked her door, than bolted to the bed. Quickly going under the covers and coming up, to poke her head out, looking towards the door. Where she placed herself, she was at Ratok's torso, his large arms instintively wrapped over her in his sleep.

Ruma heard a couple of the door open, and shut. Each one that she heard get closer caused her to shutter. Until it was apparent that he would have been outside her door.

Then came the rattle. She dipped her head under the covers. Hiding. Waiting. Until she heard nothing. She waited a little while longer, before looking back out.

Ruma slowly moved the cover down her head, being slow to look out. At first, all she could see what the faux foliage that hung down around her bed, she scooted just a bit to look around it.

There the door, which she had just locked, was ajarred. Her hands clenched into the sheets, as cold fear rised in her, she continued to look about, not seeing anything until she turned her head, a bit.

There towering over her was Joseph. He smiled at her like a wicked chestshire cat. Ruma shoved her self back and screamed, like she was being murdered.

Her eyes shut, as she hit the wall that was Ratok. She opened her eyes again to see that he was gone.

But at that point she had woken up both Ratok and Deon who were scrambling up to figure out what was wrong.

"Ruma?" Deon came around the bed, while Ratok was up and flipping on the lights looking around.

Ruma was already in mess of tears. Her hands trembled to much to be able to speak.

"Calm down, hey, shhh. It's going to be okay, cause your safe." Deon spoke in a voice not typical to him. It was soft, soothing, as he gently stroked the side of her face.

It took about three or four minutes of him, just repeating those few words, to get her to settle.

She finally was able to tell, him. At this point Ratok returned to the room, neither had seen him leave.

"Is she okay?" he asked.

Deon nodded, "Physically she is fine, but she is really torn up. Ruma said she saw-" he looked back, "What was his name?"

Before she could answer Ratok did, "Jospeh?"

Ruma nodded, and Ratok growled.

Deon sighed before speaking "I am guessing his-"

"-A problem, and I will figure out a way to deal with it." Ratok interrupted. "Let me make sure the room is clear, and get her settled back in." he searched the room, where someone could hide, and even a few spots that wouldn't make sense just to calm Ruma's mind.

After he closed and locked her door, setting the small side table infront of it.

During this she clung to Deon's side, sniffling and shaking, as he kept stroke her hair, "It'll be okay." he kept whispering to her. "It'll be okay"
