Magnus ‘s  POV:
After we passed through the portal to Vasu's house, Vasu ran towards the door, and I helped him open it. When Hope, Vasu, and I entered the living room, Vasu's mother asked him in shock, "Vasu! What happened to Madhu?" Just as he was about to speak, I approached him and placed my hand on his shoulder, saying, "She fell asleep while we were coming back home. Vasu don’t  want to wake her up." Vasu turned his gaze towards me, and I understood the meaning behind his look. "Take her to your room! I'll send Hope after you," I whispered into his ear. Vasu continued to stare at me, and I knew he was thinking who the hell we are all ?. I snapped out of my thoughts and signalled  him to go upstairs.
He went upstairs, and Hope followed him. Awkwardness filled the living room as Vasu's mother continued to stare at me without moving. I smiled and approached her, saying, "Hi! I am Vasu's and Madhu's friend. My name is Magnus Bane," while extending my hand towards her. Vasu's mother shook my hand with a smile and replied, "Nice to meet you, beta."
I noticed Vasu walking downstairs towards me, and I could sense the anger radiating from him. I didn't want Vasu's mother to find out about Madhu. Anticipating any foolish actions from him, I raised my hands in the air and moved closer to him, saying, "Hey buddy! We had a lot of fun today, didn't we?" I hugged him, though he struggled to pull away. "Don't make a scene in front of your mother! I know you have many questions, and I will answer them, but not here. We need to talk, tough guy!" I whispered into his ear.
I could feel Vasu's anger as he pulled away from the hug, but the dagger-like look in his eyes remained fixed on me. "Okay, let's go to the study room. I really need to discuss important matters regarding the most important person in my life," he said, then approached his mother, who was with her caregiver. He gave instructions to the caregiver and glanced at me before rushing off to the study room. I closed my eyes and let out a sigh. I could sense Hope's gaze on me. She walked towards me, and I expressed, "It's going to be more difficult than I thought." Hope smiled at me and I  asked, "How is she doing?" I noticed her folding her hands against her chest and replied, "I don't know, Magnus. I've tried my best to keep her stable, but I have no idea when she'll regain consciousness," she said, sighing.
I placed my hands on her shoulders and said, "Okay, let's go. We have to handle this, tough guy." She objected, "No, you handle him. I'll stay with Madhu!" I nodded in understanding. Walking towards the study room, I took a deep breath before reaching for the doorknob. I sighed and pushed the door open. My eyes met Vasu, who was pacing around the room. As soon as he noticed my presence, he approached me and grabbed me by the collar, yelling, "Who the hell are you all? And what is happening to my Madhu? Answer me now!"
I placed my hands on his shoulders and retorted, "First, calm the hell down... I will explain." I matched his tone. Vasu let go of my collar and took a step back, folding his hands against his chest. "Speak! Now!" he demanded. I sighed and replied, "I am Magnus Bane, the Chief of the Witch Community in New York." Vasu interrupted, "What...? Witch... what does that mean?" he asked.
I cleared my throat and replied, "Witch means someone who is gifted with magical powers." His eyes widened in response. He started laughing sarcastically and said, "Witch... magic... This isn't some drama, you dick! This is real life... a freaking reality." He clenched his fists and moved closer to me.
In that moment, I snapped my fingers, freezing Vasu in place. He couldn't move a muscle until I release him. "What the hell have you done to me?" he asked. I smiled at him and responded, "I won't release you until I'm done with you, detective. You have to listen carefully."
I continued, "Listen, I understand you're confused, but this is the truth. Madhu is a witch, specifically a Gifted Witch from a special bloodline. She is a true witch, naturally gifted with magic that isn't passed down from generation to generation. We have been searching for her for a very long time because she is in danger!" I explained, observing Vasu's expression shift from confusion to fear.
"What? Danger... What are you talking about? She's human... She's not a witch. If she is, she would have told me," he insisted.
"She lied to me... she lied to me right on my face!" he kept repeating, his voice filled with anguish. I approached him and released him from my magical hold. As soon as the spell was lifted, he collapsed to his knees, covering his face with both hands, overcome by the overwhelming of Madhu’s truth.
I walked towards Vasu and knelt in front of him. "Listen... I know it's a lot to process, but Madhu isn't lying to you," I said gently. He jerked his head to meet my gaze, his eyes filled with confusion and tears starting to gather. "What? What do you mean?" he asked. I let out a sigh and stood up, offering him support to help him stand.
"She doesn't know that she is a witch," I told him in a soft tone. His gaze locked with mine, searching for the truth. "How do I believe you?" he asked. Understanding his skepticism, I knew I had to provide him with something only he and Madhu's family would know. "Where is the first aid kit?" I inquired. He lifted his hand and pointed to a corner of the room. I retrieved the first aid kit and started cleaning the wound on his forehead.
"Okay, what if I were to say something that only you and Madhu's family know?" I asked. He furrowed his brows, his curiosity piqued. "Madhu is adopted, isn't she?" I stated, covering the wound on his forehead with a bandage.
Vasu's eyes widened, and he nodded in confirmation. I remained seated on the opposite sofa. "Listen, she isn't lying to you or anyone. No one knows about her true identity, not even her family. Please don't judge her. It will devastate her when she learns that you don't trust her," I explained. Vasu shook his head, cursing himself for his doubts.
I continued, "Don't make things more difficult for the both of you. Hope and I can reveal her identity to her, but it would be better if you talk to her, as only you can help her through this." Vasu shook his head again and abruptly stood up from the chair. "My head is messed up!" he yelled at me, frustration evident in his voice. I tried to calm him down, but he wasn't receptive.
"Today it became  unexpectedly become so chaotic... I discovered two of the most important secrets about my girl, the secrets she has no idea about... But I have to keep them from her... Hell... this is a fudging .. hell ," he screamed, his emotions spiraling out of control. In his fit of anger, he grew a glass on the floor which shattering it into pieces. I closed my eyes, released a sigh, and snapped my fingers, restoring the glass back to its original, unbroken state.
Vasu gasped, and I quickly stood up from my chair, making my way towards him. "You can trust me... If I were your enemy, I would have killed Madhu and you without any hesitation," I told him. He smirked and scoffed, responding, "Before you even lay a finger on what's mine, I would have put a 9mm bullet through your skull." I chuckled at his fierce protectiveness. "I know," I replied, tapping his shoulder gently.
Before Vasu could say anything else, the door suddenly burst open, and Hope entered, panting. "What is it?" I asked, concerned. Hope struggled to catch her breath as she spoke, "I can't contain her... I need your help... now!" I turned my head towards Vasu and spoke to him in a soft tone, "We might need your help... Please come with us."
We all made our way towards  upstairs. Vasu pushed open the door and his eyes widened in shock. "Madhu!" he screamed, filled with a mixture of surprise and concern.
I looked back at the bed where Madhu's eyes were glowing in golden. Just then, I sensed what Hope meant - she was getting worse. Hell, this night was getting even worse as a series of groans escaped Madhu's lips. A strong force surrounded her, jerking her body up from the bed and into the air. In a swift motion, Hope and I rushed to her side, desperately trying to hold her and bring her back to the bed.
"You could use a hand, tough guy," I groaned, noticing Vasu in shock and unmoving. Suddenly, the door burst open, and to my surprise, Alec and Jace stood there with a few witches from The Institute.
"What the hell are you all doing here?" I asked, taking a step forward towards Alec. He approached me, saying, "Listen! You need all the help you can get... channel me now." Alec stretched his hand towards me. I nodded in understanding, placing my hand on Alec's, feeling the energy flowing through my veins. I signaled for Hope to join me.
We managed to push Madhu back onto the bed, but it became clear that her magic was far stronger than we had anticipated. "It's not working... I don't know what to do!" I exclaimed in frustration. Just then, Vasu approached the bed and placed his hand on Madhu's. With a few more minutes of intense concentration, Madhu's magic seemed to stabilize within her. Her glowing golden eyes returned to their normal state, but she lost consciousness and started to fall onto the bed.
Acting swiftly, Vasu held her in his arms and carefully placed her back on the bed. I approached Vasu, and our gazes locked. "It's true!" I exclaimed, a smile spreading across my face. Vasu furrowed his brow and asked, "What is true?" I replied with relief, "When a gifted witch finds their mate... if by any chance they become overwhelmed with chaos, only their true mate can control and stabilize them. I have witnessed it now!" .I let out a sigh of relief, grateful that Madhu was no longer in immediate danger.
Vasu stood up from the bed, his brows furrowed in confusion. "What are you talking about? What the hell is going on? When will she regain consciousness?" he asked softly, his voice filled with worry, fear, and nervousness. I walked towards him, attempting to provide reassurance. "I will explain everything, I promise," I said softly.
He groaned in frustration, gripping a handful of his hair, and started to pant. It seemed like he might have a panic attack. I placed my hand on his shoulder "Please, calm down," I said, hoping to bring him some peace.
Suddenly, we heard a light groan from Madhu. Vasu rushed towards the bed and sat beside her. "Hey... sweetheart!" he called her softly, brushing her cheek. She slowly opened her eyes and scanned the room, clearly disoriented. She pushed herself up and sat upright on the bed. "What happened? How did I get here?" Her words were interrupted by a groan that vibrated from her throat, her hands reaching up to her head in pain. Vasu moved closer to her, helping her sit properly on the bed.
Her head rested against the headboard of the bed. Slowly, she opened her eyes and locked gazes with mine. Madhu jerked away from the bed, her voice trembling as she asked, "Who are you? What the hell is going on?" Her eyes then shifted to Vasu, who stood in front of her. "What happened to your head?" she rushed out, her eyes filling with tears.
Vasu pulled her into his arms, trying to soothe her. "Shhh... I am fine... you're fine," he reassured her gently. Madhu's hands wrapped around Vasu's neck, seeking comfort and security. Vasu released her from the embrace and wiped away her tears.
"Vasu... I'm feeling cold..." she said, trembling. He turned towards me, and I approached the bed. I could see the terror growing in Madhu's eyes with every step I took. "Vasu, cover her with a blanket and stay close to her. She will be fine," I advised, hoping to provide some sense of reassurance.
After a while, a strange feeling washed over me, prompting me to walk towards the window. I pulled the curtains aside and my eyes fixated on a black car parked in front of Vasu's house. As I looked closer, my eyes widened in shock when I noticed the black dragon symbol on the car.
Turning away from the window, I saw Madhu peacefully sleeping in Vasu's arms. For the moment, I didn't want to disturb her. "Stay with her! I'll be back," I told Vasu before leaving the room. I made my way downstairs and saw Jace, Alec, and Hope engaged in conversation.
"Guys, something is up. Secure the area!" I exclaimed, sensing the urgency of the situation. I could feel Hope's gaze on me. Before anyone could ask what happened , I spoke, "They found her. The black witches are here!" Gasps filled the air as everyone processed the news.
Seeing Hope's anger rising and her emotions heightened.  I reached out and held her hands, urging her to stay calm. Then, addressing everyone, I took charge. "Listen, everyone! They found her, and it's our responsibility to protect her at any cost. We have to secure the area. Alec, guard the front entrance. Jace, cover the backyard. Witches, lift the wards( it’s a transparent protective shield), including Madhu's house. Now!" I instructed, ensuring everyone knew their roles and swiftly took their positions.
After some time, I prepared a spell that would allow us to establish a mind link among everyone in the room, enabling us to communicate instantly if something was amiss. As I was setting up the spell, I noticed Hope pacing anxiously around the room. I called her name twice, but she didn't respond.
Concerned, I approached her and gently held her arm, turning her to face me. "Listen, Hope! You have to stay calm and strong right now, for the sake of your big sister," I urged, raising my voice slightly to get through to her. Hope's gaze shifted towards me, and determination filled her eyes. "I won't let anyone hurt her," she declared, her eyes glowing with a bright blue hue. It was clear that her emotions were heightened.
’ I will guard Madhu…..’’she yet to complete , I cut her off ‘"I appreciate your determination, Hope, but right now, Vasu is with Madhu. I need you here with me," I said .With a groan, she reluctantly agreed, recognizing the importance of being present and not letting them near the entrance.
As we approached the door, a thought crossed my mind about Vasu's mother. I quickly established a mind-link with Jace. "Secure Vasu's mother and take her to Madhu's house!" I urgently communicated through the mind-link. Jace groaned in response‘’ Then who will guard the back yard’’ he shot back within no time."Alec will," I replied swiftly, looking in Alec's direction. He nodded and has he was about to leave, I grabbed his arm to get his attention. "Don't let Vasu's mother know about what's happening," I said , he nodded with agreement ‘’ I will take care of that , you guys be careful ‘’ he said and ran towards back door.
Me and Hope guarding front door ‘’ Be ready ! they will be here anytime ‘’ I said . Hope gaze fell on me , I can read her thought and I knew about her very well she will go to any extent to protect her sister ‘’Don’t do anything stupid , if did , I will kill you by myself ‘’ I said . Hope scoff ‘’I wont let them touch her before they even try , I will turn them into ashes ‘’ She said. “Before you do that , I will ‘’ A voice came filled with rage and vengeance ,A woman with a black dress and black hood said. I can only see her jaw and neck . My eyes widened saw a dragon tattoo on her left wrist  ‘’ Hope she is the head of black witches’’ I said through mind –link , ‘’ I know what to do mangus ‘’ she replied back through mind link. Hope took a step forward ‘’ You have go through me first before you touch my sister ‘’ she said , Hope started to chant , in result her hands Started  glow with fire .She sent straight to the witches who is a  few feet away from Hope. They tried to attack back , but no use , Hope’s magic is getting strong and wilder . My eyes widened  ‘’ Hope!...’’ I was cut off by Jace ‘’ Vasu’ mother is safe ‘’ he said ‘’ Jace guard Vasu and Madhu, they are here , Hope is fighting them….. shit ‘’ I shouted when a force energy throw me into the front yard. ‘’ Mangus … are you okay!’’ Jace asked through mind-link ‘’ I am fine … just stay with them ‘’ I shot back and disconnected the link . I groaned and stood in my boots . Now, I have to contain two witches …. Fudging hell ! I cursed inwardly . I mind-link Alce and other witches ‘’ Guys ! I need your help… Hope is not herself .. her magic is getting stronger than I though , I can’t handle  her ‘’ I said and ran towards Hope , I grabbed her arm turn towards me . Her eyes glowing bright blue . I hold her hand , absorbed her magic which will make her clam down little ‘’Stop it! stop it…. Hope that’s enough….’’ I yelled at her .  I was so concentrating on getting her back to normal , I failed to notice , the head of black witches is few feet away from us. Before I could think of anything relentlessly the arrows started to aimed towards the Head of witches , Its Alec’s arrow, She manages to escape , But she can’t . A arrow hit her left shoulder ‘’ You…. Son….’’ Her word vibrating from her throat with a groan she fell unconscious on ground. I turn towards with narrow eyes on Alec ‘’What! Its sedative …… she will be fine’’ he said with a smirk on his face . Hope is back to normal which make me sighed in relief ‘’ Take her and get the hell out of here , Now! Or you will be turned in ashes’’ Hope yelled at them . I can feel the fear of death in there eyes  and One of the women ran towards the head of black witch . She pulled the arrow from her and tossed it on  the ground and grabbed the head witch , within a seconds they vanished in the thin  air. I felt Hope’s gaze on me ‘’ Are you okay?’’ she asked , I threw a dagger look ‘’ seriously ?’’ I asked , Hope smiled at me.
