Chapter 14 ''The Truth 1''

Madhu POV
I was on the way to my HOD office to give my resignation , it has been a week after vasu and me confess each other . We were both busy in our work , Vasu had continues duty  , he was  getting call in middle of the night too , he is  facing  hectic schedule  . However we manage to get some quality time together, either morning or evening. He use to pick me , when he have a short time break or if I was in night shift he usually take metro to my hospital for picking  me up and we both will have  dinner ,  just roam across the street and will go back to home by metro. I was drown in thoughts , totally forgot about for what I came for , after reaching my HOD room I knocked and pushed the door open , my eyes fell on My HOD Ms. Maggie who was going through pile of papers in her desk ‘’ Do you need a hand ?’’ I asked. She lifted her head, after seeing me she signed in relief ‘’ Definitely , before that I need coffee!’’ she asked . I smiled ‘’ here you go , your black coffee with extra sugar ‘’ I said and placed it on her table . She lift  her head and smile ‘’ Take the seat girl!’’ she said and I sat by  facing her . She took a sip of coffee and sighed ‘’Thanks for the coffee sweet heart’’ she said . Suddenly my heart beat skipped after hearing the word “SWEET HEART’’ because usually Vasu  address me like that. I started to blush and cheeks are getting warmer ‘’ why are blushing ? your cheeks are like red tomatoes ‘’ Maggie said . I lift my head and clear my throat ‘’ Okay first thing first , you remembered the job you recommended in NYPD? ‘’ I asked , she nodded ‘’ I got selected! they told  me to join by next week’’ I said push the cover towards ‘’Congratulations, so this is  it ! tomorrow will be your last day ’’ she asked  and I nodded  ‘’ I will miss you Maggie , you have been  so nice to me since I joined here ,Thank you for this opportunity’’ I said , she stood up from chair and walk towards me , I stand on feet and hugged her ‘’Proud of you as always I am ‘’ she whispered and caresses my back. We pulled from hug and she made me to sit on chair ‘’ Uhhh don’t you think I should be get going !’’ I asked  ‘’ No! I don’t think so sweet heart ‘’ she said and again my heart beat skipped. I started to blush again and she sat on table edge  ‘’ So what is going on with you? ‘’ she asked with one brow raised. I furrowed my eyes ‘’what are you talking about ?’’ I asked and shrugged my shoulders. Maggie scoffs  ‘’ Madhu! I can see the glow in your face? Your are blushing , smiling and spending more time in home …. So spill the beans … or otherwise you stuck here with me or I will call Talia ….’’ Maggie told me with brows raised and stood up from the table  .My eyes widened…. Talia … she will give every single details to Maggie which will be a   embarrassment for me  ‘’No… No .. I will tell ‘’ I  jerked from chair and grab her arm ‘’ Speak now ! ‘’ she said walked towards to the chair  ‘’Okay …. I am in love … finally ‘’ I said . With a smile Maggie sat on her rolling chair ‘’ Who is he ? ‘’ she asked ‘’ you know him very well …. Mmm…. Vasu …. My brother’s partner  and my neighbour hood ‘’ I said with a blush .With a jerk Maggie move forward from chair '’ what ? Vasu …. Vasudevan parbakaran, the detective’’ she  asked in shocked. I cant hide my blush and I nodded . I explained what happen and how it happen she was silently listening to me . '’ I am really really happy for you. You deserve it  ….. this job…… I am happy that finally you have found someone who can fix you back’’ she said '’yeah …. I did '’ I whispered and close my eyes sighed in relief . We were chatting for while and finally I got out from Maggie’s room. I was on my way to room , my phone started to pop up notifications , I took the  phone , my lips found a smile its message from Vasu
Vasu :hey sweet heart ! I am done for the day , if your shift is over , we shall leave to home together.
Me: Love too! I am almost done , grabbing  all my stuffs I will meet you in car parking vasu .
Vasu: No …… I am waiting in main entrance .I cant wait to have you in my arms … come soon!
Me: me too…
I grabbed my bag and started to toss my stuff into it . I was about to leave when my door pushed open …It’s Talia ‘’Are you leaving ?’’ she asked , I nodded .Talia raised a brows ‘’ babe …. After your confession with vasu we both didn’t spend time together !’’ she said with pout . Yes! She is right we didn’t ‘’Sorry darling! I know I have been occupied lately .. but I promise you tomorrow is girls day!’’ I said walked towards her and tap on her shoulder ‘’Really .. then means okay … if vasu come between us tomorrow … I will kick his ass honey !’’ she said and I smiled at her  ‘’ That’s your part to convince him to leave me alone  with you … I will apply the application on behalf of you honey!.... Bye.. see you in home !’’ I said and left the room. I took the lift , finally reach the ground floor. I walked straight to the main entrance and found him standing a few meters way , after seeing him shivers spread into my spine ‘’ Vasu ‘’ I called him , he turn around , a large smile found on his lips and  opened his arms. With a smile by throwing my hands in air I ran towards  him , He scooped me into his arms and hugged me tightly ‘’ Hey …… sweet heart! ‘’ he said and tightened his grip on my waist.
Vasu’s POV
Past one week has been hectic for me,  sleepless night I barely go to home  . I was feeling really bad that I couldn’t  spend time with Madhu . But She is really great, She is handling it very beautifully , Madhu is taking care of my mother very well , she used too, but after our confession and the truth about deva she is too close with my mother . Luckily today my shift was over early I though today I will spend the night with her. I made my  way to the  sergeant office  PS: Karan’s office , I knock the door and pushed open ‘’ Do you have mint , sergeant?’’ I asked karan , he lift his head and nodded , I went near his table and slid a pen drive ‘’ Here you go , My case details which I was working on ‘’  I said and was about to leave . Karan cleared throat  ‘’Detective , Do you have mint?’’ he asked . I groaned ‘’ what !’’ I asked in a half yelled , he place his hands on table  ‘’ It’s about Madhu!’’ he said which made me curious . I went near him ‘’ what is it ?’’ I asked with brows raised. Karan sighed ‘’ Do you remember when I told you I need to say something about my sister ?’’ he said and I nodded , karan lean on his rolling chair ‘’ Madhu …. is ….. adopted ! we adopted her when she was five in  India !’’ karan told . I gasped and took a step back , my heart beat is completely uproar ‘’ what! …… she is …. Does she know about it ? No …. She doesn’t know about it ! if she… knows…… this is the first thing she will share with me  …… ‘’ I started to stammer  .  karan sighed and lean his back on his chair  ‘’ she doesn’t know about it … keep it yourself !’’he said .I furrowed my eyes ‘’ Then why in the earth you told me this  ?’’ I asked him with my arms against my chest . Karan signed   ‘’Because … I want to know what is your  answer? Are you willing to accept her as?’’ he asked . I laughed , my lips kept releasing laughter. He got pissed off at me  ‘’ Stop! Laughing and answer me  you, dumbass !’’ karan yelled  at me . I turn towards him  I made  my hand into fist and slam on  the table ‘’She is mine! She is my world … no one has  right to take her away from me karan …. If anyone need to try… they have to go through me first! Do you understand ? ‘’ I asked ‘’Not even YOU sergeant ! its clear ‘’ I said and walk towards to door . I heard a chuckle from karan which made me stop near the door  ‘‘I am happy to hear from you …. Now,  I won’t worry about my sister …. !’’ he said ‘’ You may leave now , detective  and take a day off tomorrow … you have been facing a hectic week ! ‘’ he said .I turn towards him, and only find out  how happy his face is . I rolled my eyes and slam the door. I  went to my desk , grabbed all my stuff and walked towards to metro station and  took train . I reached Madhu’s hospital in twenty minutes and messaged her  that I am waiting in the  main entrance . After a few minutes I heard Madhu calling my name . I jerk  head and turn around , after seeing her I opened my arms , she ran towards me , I scooped her into my arm ‘’ Hey ! sweet heart…. How was your day ?’’ I asked remained hugged . She pulled from hug ‘’ Fine … how was your day? You seemed tried!’’ she said with her brow raised ‘’ You should have  gone  home and take some rest instead of coming here to pick me ‘’ she said . I smiled ‘’ I am fine!‘’ I said  and  pulled her close to me ‘’ right now ‘’ I whispered against her face. We were lost in our eyes , suddenly we heard a clear throat , Madhu jerked  from my grip … Its her HOD Maggie . Madhu introduced me  to her HOD and we were chatting for few  minutes ‘’ Okay guys take care ! I don’t want to spoil your evening Bye ‘’ Maggie waved at us and left . I took Madhu’s Hand and interlock my fingers ‘’ Shall we ?’’ I asked her , she nodded ‘’ where is your car?’’ Madhu asked ‘’ I don’t bring car today .. we are going by metro!’’ I said . She smiled at me ‘’ Can I asked you something ?’’ she asked . I turn my head towards ‘’ Shall we go for dinner ! some where … away… just two of Us … please !’’ she asked ‘’Read my mind sweet heart !’’ I said in one shift pulled her into my arms and kissed Madhu on cheek . She smiled and we walked towards the metro station ‘’Tomorrow  me and taila is having movie night .. so I wont be able to come to home for physio session .. is it okay?’’ she said which makes me turn towards her ‘’ Tomorrow is my day off sweet heart !’’ I said , she jerked her head towards me ‘’ Cancel it! Tomorrow its our day please ….. ‘’ I asked in a pleading tone ‘’ Okay ….. I will sort it out ! ‘’ she said . We both entre into a train and sat beside to each other . Madhu interlock her arms into mine and lean on my shoulder and she started to explained what happen in hospital including about the resignation conversation. We were talking to each other , Madhu told how Talia threatened me. I turn my head towards her ‘’Did she threatend me ?’’ I asked with one brow raised , Madhu nodded with smile .She place her chin over my shoulder ‘’So, How are you going to handle her , Mr.detective?’’ she asked with a smirk. I scoffed ‘’ Tell Talia that her application is on request , I will take time?’’ I said with a wink. Madhu smiled and leaned into my arms I quickly wrap my arms around her and pull her close to me. I lean my head over her ‘’ How do you feel right now ?’’ I asked by caressing her hair . She pressed her body close to me ‘’ safe from everything out there ‘’ she muttered against fabric of my shirt and buried her face . I really don’t know how she will react when she knows the truth . The fear of getting her hurt  make me tightened my arms around her ‘’ I will never let you go of you sweet heart !’’ I whispered against her hair I felt her small smile . We both remained silent . Suddenly I heard a women is arguing  , initially I ignore it ,but after a while the intense of arguing  increased . I jerked from seat ‘’ Vasu! Where are you going?’’ Madhu asked by holding my hands , I turned  towards her ‘’ Nothing ! stay her sweet heart !’’ I said and removed my hands from her grip. I walked towards the next compartment where I heared the argument  , I pushed the door open ‘’ Hey…. Hey ….. what is going on here?’’ I asked with the women , she turned towards me , she looks really terrified ‘’ This man…. Try to hurt me sir…. So , I slapped him ‘’ the women said in sobs ‘’ Its okay mam …. Stay aside please ‘’ I said and turned towards the man ‘’ turn around raise your hand where I can see ‘’ I told him , he release a scoff , raised his hands and turn around . I started to checking him , suddenly in swiftly motion he started to attack me . But I dodged , he tried to punch me in stomach I dodged and grabbed his hand twisted into his back  and pinned him against the steel rod . But he managed to escape , and sent a few punches at me , I kept on dodging . I grabbed his hand , he loosen from my grip and punched me on my face which made me lost my balance  and fell on ground  I got hit over the steel rod on my forehead . A few seconds I don’t know what happen , all passengers started to murmured and I heard a whispers ‘’ Vasu’’ I heard Madhu’s screamed behind me . I lift my head and found she is standing few feet away from me, her eye filled with fear and started to walk towards me ‘’ Madhu! Stay there don’t come close ‘’ I yelled , Madhu eyes widened ‘’ Watch out! ‘’ she screamed . I jerked my head and noticed the man standing with a gun , my heart beat skipped , with a groan I pulled myself  to stand and raise both of my hand in air ‘’ hey….. hey…. Listen they are too many civilian in train …. One wrong move some one will get hurt …. We can talk ‘’ I said , but he release a scoff and pointed the gun on me , I swallow a lump . I am not afraid but my mind is only thinking about Madhu and passengers . I was about to grab the man’s hand , but suddenly Madhu ran in front of me . I was shocked and about to push her aside ‘’leave ….. him…. Alone’’ she screamed which made all of us loss balance  and I fell on the ground . I felt like  a powerful force of energy that swept through the train .  I groaned lightly and push  myself to stand , I saw Madhu is standing in middle of train facing the man . But for a change he is trembling in fear  , I went near her to grab her aside , but I am shocked to her eyes , it is glowing  as golden   colour and her both palms are emitting a violet light . I turn my head to the man and grabbed his gun tossed it aside locked his hand with hand cuffs in steel rod ‘’ stay right here! Don’t you dare move !’’ I said and punch on his face and finally he fainted.
I went near Madhu who is still standing in middle of train as same as earlier, I am little bit nervous and afraid after seeing her differently , I was about to reach her, ‘’only you can control her Vasu! Bring her back, now!’’ , I jerk my head towards my left side , a woman with a brown hair in age near twenty five's told  me . I don’t care who she is . I went near Madhu and placed my both hands over her shoulders ‘’ Sweet heart! I don’t know what is happening to you!.... but…. Please come back to me !’’ I said in a pleading tone . Madhu eye’s met mine ‘’ He tried to hurt you ! I wont let anyone what is MINE’’ Madhu screamed a another energy wave swept through out the train which made all of us lost the balance , I took the hold of steel rod . I can feel the angry on her voice , I hold her arms ‘’ Sweet heart!... I am fine …. Stop it .. what ever you are  doing right now …. come back to me ….. come back to me …. Please …’’ I yelled at her. After a few seconds , slowly Madhu’s eyes are back to her brown ones , no more light is coming from her hands , I sighed in relief . Madhu’s slowly life her head towards me , her eyes filled with tears  and she was trembling ‘’what happened ? Your are bleeding !’’ she said , stood like that for a while never taking her eyes off me and then right before my eyes she collapsed on the ground . I rushed towards her and fall on my knees pulling her into my arms ‘’ Hey… Madhu…! Open your eyes  sweet heart!..... open your eyes …… !’’  I was  trying to wake her up , her body is cold as dead . The same woman who spoken earlier came near us and hold Madhu’s hands ‘’ we have to get both of you out of here, Now ! Before anyone comes after you both!’’ she said and my eyes widened ‘’who are you? What happening to her? Explain Now!’’ I yelled at her . She signed  ‘’Its her awakening!’’  she told , I furrowed my brows , she lift her hand up ,in a short seconds, her fingers  hold a arrow  , I gasped definitely now I am scared . She stood in her toes and started to mummers something which I cant understand , after a while the arrow in her hand floated at air , march towards few mens in black suits who are coming towards us . The arrows hit them and all of turn into dust . My eyes widened ‘’ They found her , get her out of here, Now!’’ she yelled at me ,I placed Madhu careful on ground and  stood up in my feet ‘’ Don’t you dare give a order , you have killed four mens’’ I said , she release a smirk , I scoff ‘’ you are under arrest ‘’ I said and tried to hold her hands , but she took a step back ‘’ Hope …. They are coming ! leave now !’’ the man in early fourty’s said and she nodded , She hold my arm ‘’ You can arrest me later on , but first , we have get out of here now , please!’’ . The man earlier came near us and I went to Madhu’s side and lift her in my arms . Me the woman and the man in black suit  ran out of the train after it stopped , after coming out  , the man murmured something , air around us became dust and a yellow light came out in front of us ‘’ where are we going ?’’ I screamed ‘’ The institute ‘’ woman replied , I furrowed my eyes ‘’No ! I wont trust you both !I want to take her to my home’’ I said . I heard a small moaned from Madhu who is still in my arms ‘’ Vasu! I am feeling cold? ‘’ she said , her word her cut by trembling and she hold my collars tightly . I pressed her body against mine  . I lit my head little down ‘’ Hey… sweet heart … its okay … we are going to hospital ‘’ I told her cradling her closer to my chest , I was about to leave , the man who is in black suit  stopped me ‘’You sweet heart  needs to be tend properly before she turns into a chaos Vasu!’’ he said ‘’ He is right  ‘’ the woman replied, I was about to speak ,Madhu was trembling in cold ‘’ Vasu …. Take  ….. me home …. Please….. !’’ she said . My eyes meet them ‘’ we have to take her to my home … please ‘’ I said and they nodded . We all enter in the yellow light after , with in a few seconds we are standing in front of my house ‘’ what the …… hell!’’ I said .
