Chapter Fifteen

"The Eclector (The Ravager's Ship)"

Beth groaned, feeling groggy as she came to. She was tucked under the melted-faced Ravager's arm. Her arms and legs were tied together.

She gagged. The Ravager smelled horrible. It was the kind of body odor from weeks without bathing.

Rocket and Yondu were each bound to a chair facing one another in the middle of a circle of Ravagers. Baby Groot hung overhead in what appeared to be a vintage birdcage.

Some of the Ravagers cheered and celebrated. Others stood solemnly by, not wanting to pick a side.

The badger watched as a small group who appeared still loyal to Yondu were led or dragged to-

Beth cried out, "No!"

They were being forced out of the airlock.

"This is mutiny!" Shouted the older Ravager.

His face was bloodied and one of his legs looked like it had been broken.

Even after the beating he still remained loyal to Yondu.

He shouted again, "This is mutiny!"

Yondu stared forward with an expressionless look on his face.

The others who carried him tossed their prisoner into the airlock.

The older man banged on the glass. He was not scared or begging for his life.

No, he was pissed off. The Ravager was using his last moments to try to fight.

With more cheers, one of the Ravagers opened the airlock. The man's body floated off into space.

Beth wanted to close her eyes but she didn't. She watched as the old Ravager's body was covered in ice and the last breath left his being.

Her eyes widened when she saw the dozens of other Ravagers' bodies floating out in space.

Another of the Ravagers who had sided with Yondu was led to the airlock.

The young man cried out for help from Yondu.

"Captain, please!"

The melted-faced Ravager turned to Yondu and in doing so turned Beth who was still tucked under his arm.

"You're the one what killed those men," he said to Yondu.

He got right up in Yondu's face, "By leading them down the wrong path because you're weak!"

Yondu continued to look forward expressionless.

Their captor hit Yondu across the face.

"And stupid!" He added before hitting Yondu again.

"It's time for the Ravagers to rise once again to glory with a new captain-"

The others cheered!

"-Taser Face!" He announced proudly.

Beth heard Rocket's cackling laughter above the noise of the crowd.

"Oh, oh I'm sorry. Your name is Taser Face?" Rocket laughed.
