"The Eclector (Continued)"

The three prisoners could hear the chanting of the Ravagers.

"-Mascot!"

"Mascot!"

"Mascot!"

It took more time than they wanted it to, but eventually baby Groot walked past the cell.

Yondu made a psst noise, "Hey Twig," he said to Groot.

Groot looked into the cell.

"Come here, come on," Yondu called.

Groot approached the cell.

Rocket groaned, "Ah man what did they do to you?"

Beth patted the small tree through the bars of the cell. Groot was soaked with some kind of substance. He was dripping wet and appeared cold.

"Hey, you wanna help us get outta here?" Yondu questioned.

He smiled at baby Groot before continuing.

"There's something I need you to get and bring back to me. In the captain's quarters. There's a prototype fin, the thing I wear on my head. There's a drawer next to the bunk. It's red, you got that."

Groot scurried away. Yondu grinned.

Bath and Rocket shared a look and shook their heads.

Groot soon returned with some white briefs.

Yondu looked at Groot, "That's my underwears."

Rocket sighed, "Yea, I was pretty sure he didn't know what you were talking about, you have to explain it more carefully."

Beth nodded.

Yondu looked at the pair confused.

"It's a prototype fin" Yondu explained slowly.

Groot brought back one of the strange lizard creatures. The creature screeched and fought in the small tree's grasp.

"That's an orloni, it's a fin, Groot," Rocket corrected.

"You explain it this time," Yondu told Rocket.

Rocket looked at the blue man for a moment before agreeing.

Rocket did his best to explain the prototype fin.

The small sentient tree returned with a prosthetic eye.

Yondu shook his head, "That's Vorker's eye, he takes it out when he sleeps, go look again."

"But leave the eye here," Rocket added.

"Why?" Yondu questioned.

Rocket chuckled.

"He's gonna wake up tomorrow and he's not gonna know where his eye is," the raccoon laughed.

It was Beth's turn to try and explain the prototype fin. She shook her head as Groot ran off.

"He didn't understand any of that," she told the other two.

Rocket shrugged, "Ya never know."

The three of them heard the dragging of something large before they saw Groot turn the corner with a desk.

"You were saying," Beth groaned.

"That's a desk buddy, we told you it was this big," Beth stated. She created a space between her hands that was about a foot wide.
