The lighting inside Malice is dark red and the music is grungy and loud.

There are so many people, it's nauseating.

Hades has his arm slung around my shoulders as we walk in like he's scared I'm going to disappear if he doesn't.

"Hades!" A group of people start to swarm him.

Lana is a part of that group.

No, thank you.

I will not be forgetting Savvy's threat anytime soon, that girl scares me too much.

"I'll be back." I tell him, slipping out of his grasp.

He looks like he's about to follow me, but Nicks pounces on him and pulls in into a tight hug.

I look around for the bathroom, almost running over to it.

I advert my eyes when I notice people shamelessly having sex on the floor or snorting cocaine at the tables.

The bathroom is so bright and clean, it honestly surprises me. I mean, I guess it is only early in the night.

Someone opens the door behind me and I hide in one of the stalls.

High heels click against the tiles.

"I know you're in here Bree." Lana says sweetly.

If I say nothing, maybe she'll go away.

"Why are you being so weird?" She asks.

Maybe because your best friend threatened to kill me if I don't stay away from you?

"What did Savvy say?" She finally sighs.

"She didn't say anything." I say quickly, completely obliterating my cover.

I have a feeling that Savvy thinking I snitched on her to Lana won't go down well.

"Yes, she did, don't lie to me." She taps on my cubicle door and I open it.

I don't want to, but there's something about Lana that makes you want to do what she says.

"There have been incidents with Savvy in the past," She continues. "Incidents with other girls."

"What kind of incidents?" I dare myself to ask.

"Nothing severe..." she clears her throat. "Just a few hospitalizations."

"Hospitalisations?" My mouth drops open in shock.

"Savvy is a little possessive," Lana says. "She didn't have a great life and now she has some problems."

"Right." I say.

"I know you're avoiding me because she threatened you, but I want you to know that I won't let her hurt you." She promises.

"How are you going to do that?"

"I'll figure something out," she says. "But until then, I still want us to be friends. I really like you Bree, you're cool."

Uh...I don't know.

"We can still be friends." I say anyway.

I just will not be hanging around her.

"I'm so happy to hear that!" She says. "And don't worry about Savvy, soon you two will be the most wonderful friends."

I'm not going to hold my breath.

Savvy is one of those people you don't want to be caught in a dark alleyway with.

"You ready to stop hiding in here now?" She asks.
