Nadine's POV
I widened my eyes as soon as I heard him ask that.
"Tell you what?" I cleared my throat.
"Are you pregnant?" He narrowed his eyes at me.
"Am I pregnant?" I repeated.
He continued eyeing me as I find a word to say.
"I..." I cleared my throat once again. "I am? Yes, I am." I finally said.
He sighed and shook his head. "How long have you known? You should have told me the moment you found out," he hissed.
"Well, I'm sorry, I wasn't the one knocking up two girls at a time!" I glared at him.
"Stop yelling! Masama yan sa Baby natin." His voice calmer now.
"Ewan ko sa'yo?" Biglang pagsusungit ko.
We both remained silent, and looked away at our own windows. There was an obvious space between us. We were probably contemplating on our lives.
I slightly jumped when I felt his hand on my still flat tummy. "Hey baby, this is daddy." His face went closer to my tummy.
"Gago ka," I rolled my eyes.
"Don't listen to mommy, she's a little too upset but she'll get over it." He chuckled as he talked to my tummy.
He turned to face me. "I guess I won't miss this pregnancy unlike the last time."
He half smiled at me. The moment felt so intimate as he caressed my tummy, because we were both unclothed.
I smiled back at him, "You better stick around then," I smirked at him.
"I will not fail." He caressed my tummy once again. "You need to marry me sooner though." He suggested.
"Wala ka namang singsing, tsaka anong klaseng proposal yan?" I rolled my eyes and groaned.
I felt him move away a little and he got something from the pocket of his discarded jeans.
It was a box covered in maroon velvet fabric. I gasped when he opened it in front of me.
"I've been wanting to give you this right after our last court hearing. Right now, I'm gonna ask properly, alright?" He exhaled. I gave him a simple nod, tears forming in my eyes.
"Nadine, I know we weren't the ideal love. We did it the wrong way, but I don't regret anything. Be mine as soon as I sort everything out. Be my wife." He said sincerely gazing in my eyes.
