Nadine's POV
I spent most my days at home while Robert did his advance reading before the start of his school days.
Albie will be away for a week, meron daw siyang taping abroad. He didn't want to leave but I encouraged him to go. Hindi naman niya pwedeng ipag-palit yung trabaho niya over us.
While I was done double-checking my defense for tomorrow at court, I saw Robert lazily watching TV at the living room.
"Anak, what's wrong, parang lagi kang matamlay?" I brushed my son's hair off his face.
"I just miss, Dad." He said sadly.
"Would you like to see him?" I was unsure of what I offered, pero kung yon ang makapag-papasaya sa anak ko... I will do it.
"I'm not 3, mom. I had friends in the States. I know what's going on with the family." He confessed as he looked at me. I was stunned at his confrontation.
"And I don't live under a rock, since I met Dad, I would search for him in the internet, mom." He gave me a half-smile.
"Why didn't you tell me that you know?" I cleared my throat.
"Mom, I was awake all along. I know that Dad's got a new family." He nodded at me. I looked away refusing to meet his gaze.
"It's okay, Mom. I'm sorry if I kept it from you. I know Dad loves us, but we all have our priorities. I don't hate him for that." He sighed.
"I'm sorry anak, ha. I couldn't give you a better family." I hugged him, trying to hide the tears rolling down my cheek.
"I'm sure you did your best." He pulled away and gave me an assuring smile. Just like what his Tito Albie did before, he wiped my tears away like a true gentleman.

I was a little nervous at first to enter a courthouse with so many people and cameras inside. It was not the first time, but the second, this is definitely the most chaotic and crowded hearing I've done.
