Skinny Love

Liam doesn't feel heartbroken.

"Lou, have you seen Liam?" I asked, attempting to be casual. He raised his eyebrows at me and nodded his head to the door of the hotel leading out to the roof.

Liam was sitting on a deck chair. The sky was steely grey and low ominous clouds rolled above our heads. He sat motionless. I didn't even known of he'd seem me. I shivered in my thin jumper and jeans, he must have been freezing wearing the shorts and shirt from the photo shoot earlier.

I noisily pulled up a chair next to him and we sat in silence.

"Harry?" His voice startled me.

"Yeah?"

"You know about me and dani." It wasn't a question, more of a statement. I nodded, everyone new. All the fans were heartbroken the 'payzer' had broken up. They were a sweet couple after all. So why wasn't I? I realised it was my turn to speak, but before I could say something he continued speaking.

"It's weird. I'm sad. I'm really sad. But I feel like I should be heartbroken. Why aren't I heartbroken?" He turned to me then and I saw his large brown eyes welled up in confusion.

I hopped off my deck chair and slid my arm round him. He leant his head into my neck and I shivered as his hair tickled my cheek, ignoring the odd feeling of butterflies in my stomach.

"I don't know Liam," I answered truthfully. We sat in silence and Liam drifted off to sleep. "If you loved me I would never break your heart," I whispered to myself. He suddenly shot up. "What Harry?!"

I turned bright red. "N-nothing. I didn't say anything." He eyed me suspiciously. He reached out to grab my arm and I turned and ran.

Out the door, down the stairs, past Niall and zayn playing pool and into the lobby of the hotel. I pushed open the doors and ran to a park across the road.

I heard panting and whipped round to see Liam.

"Harry!" He cried. "I'm so sorry Liam," I muttered meekly. In reply, he kissed me slowly on the lips.

"I know you won't break my heart."
