Regret

Harry and Liam have an argument and Harry says something he regrets. Not actual title!!

“For fuck’s sake Liam, I know she’s your beard but do you have to be so fucking touchy all the time!?” Harry shouted as he flailed his arms in the air.

“I have to make it believable! And she’s like my best friend, I would never think of her that way!” Liam yelled back in frustration.

“And that’s the only reason you don’t think of her that way?” Harry retorted.

“You know that’s not what I meant!” Liam huffed.

“Oh do I? Well excuse the fuck out of me captain obvious! What did you mean?” Harry shouted sarcastically.

“The same reason you don’t want a girlfriend.” Liam said not wanting to say ‘i love you’ in the middle of this.

“There is no reason I don’t have a girlfriend. Maybe I’m just waiting for Louis!” Harry spat, instantly regretting the words as he saw Liam’s jaw clench and his eyes squeeze shut.

“The amount of times I’ve been told I wasn’t good enough… That hurt the most. You told me you loved me you hypocrite! Well Louis is welcome to you, don’t let me hold you back!” Liam shouted as he stormed out of the flat. Harry sunk to the floor burying his head in his hands and began to cry. He didn’t want Louis, not like that. And Louis only had eyes for Niall anyway. He had to do something to fix this, before he lost the best thing to happen to him.

The boys stood backstage waiting to go on to sing ‘Moments’, their last song of the night. Liam and Harry hadn’t spoken a word and the tension was running high between them. Louis had to console Niall a few times telling him the band would not break up and telling Harry to ‘sort his shit out, I love you and all but you’re hurting my boyfriend.’ Nothing hurt Niall if Louis could stand in the way, but luckily Harry already had a plan to ‘sort his shit out’. He just needed to be on stage.

Moments was going well, Harry was singing his solo and as it drew to a close the instrumental rang out for longer than normal as Harry walked over to Liam and said;

“I’m sorry Li… I was a prick and so stupid. You are good enough, I don’t want Louis!” At this point Harry was interupted by a “Thanks.” from Louis. He ignored it and carried on.

“I only want you. You’re so perfect to me and I love you. Please forgive me?” He finished. The other three boys burst into chorus and Harry grabbed Liam and kissed him in front of the camera’s and whole O2 arena. As they pulled apart Liam whispered.

“Of course I forgive you, stupid. I love you.”
