Days went by, and Harry started to get closer to Liam. Well, at least he was trying too. It wasn't very easy, because most of the time Liam wouldn't talk at all... he would just smile politely and nod. Harry didn't mind thought, he liked the older boy's quietness, it made him feel comfortable. As for Liam, he couldn't be happier... he really liked Harry, and now he could actually think that without looking like a stalker, because with time he found out how much both of them had in common. They would mostly just talk about book and films. Well, Harry would talk, he would just sit there and listen as the younger boy would tell him about how great the last film he had seen was, or how the best ones were underrated because no one cared about good stuff anymore. Liam would just listen, fascinated by the fact Harry would take time to show him the world as he saw it.

One day, Harry had to go over Niall's house again to do yet another art project. Niall would always make sure Liam would keep them company when they were hanging out or just simply working. He liked how happy Liam would look whenever Harry was around. Once they arrived at Niall's house, the blonde asked Harry to go see if Liam was already home, saying he had to go make them tea because he was starving. Harry just nodded and climbed up the staircase.

He knocked gently on Liam's door, it wasn't completely closed so he pushed it softly, finding Liam sitting on the floor, staring into nothing. "Hi, Li..." Harry said, smiling as the older boy turned to face him. Liam had such a broken look in his eyes, it made Harry's heart sink a little. "Hi..." Liam answered, faking a small smile. Harry made his way into the older boy's room, taking a sit on the floor beside Liam. "You miss home, don't you?" Harry asked in a sweet tone. "When does it stop hurting, Harry?" Liam asked without raising his eyes from the floor. Harry looked at him surprised, he was just expecting Liam to nod and brush it away like he always did. "I don't know Liam... but I'm sure it will. Don't worry." Harry finally said, putting his arm around Liam's shoulder and pulling him close for a hug. They hadn't touched much before, and it felt a bit strange but Liam just sighed, inhaling Harry's sent.

"I just wish I would stop feeling like this... I feel empty, Harry. I don't know what to do..." Liam mumbled. Harry could sense he was close to tears, but he didn't want to mention it. So instead, in an attempt to stop Liam's pain he grabbed the older boy's head before gently pressing his lips against Liam's in a sweet kiss. Liam froze at first, unsure if it was really happening or if it was his mind playing tricks on him. Soon he figured it had to be happening, because Harry's lips were moving and his arms were wrapping around his waist in an attempt to pull him closer. Liam slowly started to move his lips in time with Harry's, sighing into the kiss right before the curly haired boy pulled away. Bright green eyes stared deep into his soul. "You don't need to worry, Liam. I'm here, I will help you..." Harry said smiling, leaning in for another quick kiss.

"What are you two up to?!" Niall asked from the door frame, a devilish grin plastered all over his face. Liam turned into every possible shade of red and Harry just got up, shaking his head, smiling at the blonde and pulling Liam up with him. "Come on, we have work to do. You can come and help us Li." Niall added, laughing as he rushed downstairs.

Harry turned to face Liam with the most beautiful smile the older boy had ever seen, raising his hand so Liam could hold it, enlacing their fingers together.

The few next weeks felt like heaven to Liam, he was finally starting to feel good again. Harry was around a lot more, always hugging him and just being lovely in general whenever he felt worse. They would go to the independent movie theater for the midnight session, sitting in the back where Harry would hold him close as they would watch strangers fall in love. Or just take unbelievably long walks, rushing away from all the things that made him sad.

There were times when Liam would go back to how he felt when he first arrived here, he would go back to not talking at all, just waiting for Harry to have enough of him and leave. But Harry never did, and Liam would never complain about that, because no matter how fucked up things could get he always had Harry there to kiss it better.
