The three of us walked into Ya Abdul's office and the first thing Adnan who was in front said was the first to speak "Who on earth would willingly leave his house and come here without having anything to do?"

Amma looked up realizing the shade was meant for her, she was still in the same position I left her when I came to get the files.

She scowled at adnan before turning to Ya Abdul with a pout "Baby"

"Adnan" Ya Abdul warned.

He turned to me "But Rabi'ah look, you leave the comfort of your bed and your house, to come here and lay around...in this early morning!"

Please don't drag me into this!

He had a point but I wasn't going to let him know that.

Before I could say a word a pillow from the sofa Amna was on had hit Adnan on the head "Don't talk if you don't know something! The only reason I'm here this early is because my lectures were cancelled and I didn't want to go back home! And besides...how on earth is it your business??"

She also had a point...

I walked to the one seater I was on earlier so I could have a front row seat to this drama I didn't have to pay for.

"See Abdul, warn your girl! How can she just throw something at my head like that, bata da kunya."

"You dare talk about my shame when the first to you do when you come in is assume things about me?"

I zoned them out to turn to Ya Abdul who was at the coffee machine.

When I first came in he was refilling a cup, which means he had one before I came in, he had one when I was here and now another one?

This is his third cup coffee and it's just 11 am..is that even healthy?

My mouth opened to say something to him but it closed when I realized it's not in my place.

He looked so stressed and I wanted to give him a big hug so bad.

But I couldn't.

He lips moving brought me out of my trance.

"Adnan! enough, leave her alone" he said as he stirred the content in the as he turned to face them.

Adnan let something out in between a groan and a hiss before moving to go sit in one of the two chairs in front of Ya Abdul's desk.

I heard a sniff from opposite me and i turned to see  Amma with watery eyes.

What happened...

"Why would he question my upbringing?" she croaked out to Ya Abdul.

Adnan rolled his eyes.

I guess that had been said when I was busy ogling Ya Abdul because I didn't hear it!

Cmon Rabi'ah! You had the front seat and you messed up !

Ya Abdul glared at Adnan before walking towards her and keeping the mug on the table in front of her and moving down to her level.

He whispered somethings that we couldn't hear as he wiped away her tears with his thumb , she nodded at him before wrapping her arms tightly around him.

He reluctantly hugged her back.

I hated this feeling in my chest.

I hated it so so much.

And I hated him so much for being the perfect guy.

Just a few words and he got her smiling.

I hate this.
