15th June 2245

Fire burned around me as my ears let out an uncomfortable ringing.

I look around me, seeing the familiar set off puffy blonde hair.

"Jakub!" His head turned to me. "I need more ammo!" I wave a small handgun in the air, telling him what kind of ammo was needed.

I duck behind an abandoned police car as the sounds of footsteps get closer.

I bring my hand up, catching the magazine Jakub threw me and swiftly put it in my gun.

I move my gaze to one of the shops next to us, using the glass front to see where my enemy was.

I take aim, shooting at their legs, hitting some of my targets. Some of them stumble to the ground, clutching their legs in pain.

The rest dove into cover inside a clothing shop to our right. I look back to Jakub and shout.

"Take some to the front of that shop and make sure they don't leave. Me and the Chemist will go round and take them by surprise." I run over to the Chemist, grabbing her by the arm and dragging her slightly, making sure a couple soldiers follow us.

We ran through the store, entering the alleyway behind the shops.

We ran over to where the clothing shop should be, listening as the sounds of gunfire increased.

I motion for Anna to do something, motioning for the wall for her to blow.

She picked up something from her pocket, stockings it to the wall and backing up. I back up with her as she turns to me, pointing to the object she placed on the wall.

"Shoot it." Wasting no time I take the shot, watching the the wall blew up in pieces.

The soldiers I brought with me rushed in, shooting anyone they saw. I walk in behind them, checking my ammo beforehand. I notice several soldiers by the wall, on the ground groaning in pain.

I look at the chaos surrounding me, feeling a strange sense of...

Purpose.

And it made me worry.

Finding such feeling in a place like this.

My head snaps up to a rogue soldier aiming gun his weapon at me.

I act quick, pulling my gun up, aiming on instinct and hitting his leg as I duck to the ground, feeling his bullet graze my waist.

Wasting no more time, I throw one of the slabs of rock surrounding me at him, hitting his chest.

He fell to the ground, the rock stunning him. I jump over to him, pulling my katana out and stabbing it through his forearm and into the ground, locking him in place.

He let out a small yell, but before he could retaliate, I let go off the sword and slammed my knuckles into his head, knocking him out.

I breath a sigh of relief, lightly tapping my new wound to inspect the damage. I let out a small hiss in pain, choosing to lay my hand over it and apply pressure until I can get professional help.

I pull out my blade and sheath it before walking through the building, my gun laying in my hand ready, only to find the enemy laying on the ground in defeat.

"That was a good plan Samurai." I give a small nod of thanks as Jakub gives his compliment. I put my handgun in its holster, allowing my hands to relax for the moment.

"Alright, someone radio in that Skierniewice is now in control and we'll be taking camp nearby." I shout out as some let out a cheer. I motion for Jakub and Anna to come closer, pulling out a small map from my bag. "After we've rested, we'll go check out some of the smaller villages on the way to Łódź, hopefully we could find more supplies. Once we've got more reinforcements, we'll start on Łódź." They nod their heads, putting their bags down and taking a seat, having a small snack.
