25th December 2246

"Merry Christmas Izuku!" I heard Clara's voice ring through the room as she entered, a box of something under her arms as she walked through.

"Merry Christmas." I mumbled under my breath as I kept my hands busy, writing a long piece of code in my computer.

"What are you doing?" I slightly tilted my head towards her but my eyes stayed glued onto the screen.

"Just thinking about something, could be a way to defeat this Anarchy group." She hummed as she say the box down on the desk, reaching and pulling something out.

"Sounds good, care to tell me what it is?" I shrugged my shoulders.

"I'll tell you once it's finished, I just want to make sure it works before I do anything."

"Great." She leaned over the table as I worked, stringing something over the screen. She walked away, messing around with something before walking back to me. "Say cheese."

"What?" She spun my chair around, propping her elbow on my shoulders and before I could say anything I noticed a camera, flashing a light at us. "Thanks for that."

I stared at her in bewilderment as she walked back to the camera, a small Polaroid coming out of the back.

"What's this for?" I spun back around to the screen, getting back to coding.

"Just a nice reminder. 'Tis the season." I let out a chuckle as I got back to work. She stuck the Polaroid at the corner of my screen, for the first time taking my eyes of the light and looking around.

She had strung up fairy lights around the edges of my computer with a small reef on one of the corners. It brought a smile to my face as I saw it, but I still had work to do.

Some time passed as Clara went silent, but it didn't bother me as I continued to focus on the screen, my fingers typing away at a couple hundred words a minute.

"Somethings different about you." Clara spoke up as she observed me. "Something in your eyes. You seem... lighter." I kept my eyes glued to the screen as I remembered my time being in that cage.

"While I was locked up, I came to realise something." I leaned back from my chair, observing my code. "I can't change the past, and if I keep letting it haunt me, I won't be able to change my future." I stared up to Clara from my seat.

At least, I hope I'll be able to change her future.

"I think I'm finished." I let out a sigh, rubbing my eyes after working so long. "But I still need to set up some things, do you mind leaving for a little while. I'll send you a text when I'm finished." She nodded her head.

"That's fine, I only came 'round to spread some joy by decorating." I squinted my eyes slightly as I looked around my warehouse. A tree had been lit up in one of the corners. Lights had been strung up around the edges of the ceiling, a ladder stood up near on of the walls.

I guess I was writing longer than I realised.

I rubbed my eyes again, feeling the need to sleep spread inside me.

I pushed the feeling to the side.

I still have miles to go before I can rest.

Kaneko's POV

Knowing that Izuku was okay allowed me to relax a little bit further as I worked, my hands wrote a little faster, my eyes stayed in focus an extra couple minutes.

Without realising it, I had grown a deep connection to the boy.

He had told me stories about his family life when I met him yesterday. How he was neglected, bullied, threatened.
