A cold breath left my lips as I took a seat next to Kaneko.
"How much longer until the raid?" I voice my question as we looked at the screens in front of us.
"It should only be a couple minutes."
As annoyed that I couldn't be in there with them, I had no other choice but to watch from several body cameras as to what was happening.
It's better for a group to go in, than myself alone.
"The raids about to start." A man opened the door to our room and spoke to us.
I sent a quick text to Clara that it was starting, who is watching the same raid from the computers at my warehouse.
They walked through the abandoned building, checking each and every crevice they could find.
One of them came into a room, a table in the middle with nail marks scratched along the surface. Around the edges of the table was a pair of cuffs.
The officer whose body camera I was watching through froze.
This was where they were held.
Kaneko saw the same thing and looked down in pain. She moved forwards, getting closer to a mic. We both realised that with how much time had passed, only one room was left.
"Everyone go to the reactor room." This was enough to get the officer moving again, taking slow steps in the direction of the reactor.
I moved my gaze to another screen, finding someone entering the room with a hero leading the way.
The room was large with two large cylinders lifted up from the ground.
A Geiger counter was held out, making sure the radiation was at safe levels, and luckily the clicking didn't get faster.
The small raid group had piled into the room, their quirks and guns at the ready.
But nobody would've expected what was next.
I looked to the end of the room, seeing some recent changes to the building.
A large mirror was facing everyone close to the roof.
I point it out to Kaneko, wondering why it was there.
She began to lean forwards, to inspect it, but then it switched.
The mirror had turned see through, and everyone faced it, aiming their gun straight to the glass.
Through the glass was a man standing, staring at the crowd of police with a calculated gaze.
Behind his body was blurred but there was an outline of a desk to his side, too blurry to see anything.
"Hello everyone." His voice resounded through the room. "Don't try and shoot, it's military grade. None of you are going to be able to break through this glass. And none of you are going to leave." As he finished a loud band came through the speakers, each officer scrambling around the room to each exit, only to find each one blocked off by a steel door.
I stood up from my chair, staring at the screen in disbelief.
But in my disbelief, I saw something that no one else could. For a moment as he moved I could see something.
"You also won't be able to break through that, because of you do, a bomb will be set off, one directly under your feet." The officers and heroes had no other choice but to surrender, listening in to what he had to say.
Myself and Kaneko leaned in, trying to listen in to what he was going to say.
"I plan on keeping you here until you give me Horu." My eyes widened. "You police underestimate him because he's new, but I know that he's listening in to this, because he's like me." My eyes hardened on the screen. "When you give him to me, I will let your officers go. If anyone tries to escape, or plan a rescue mission, that bomb will go off. So don't try anything." He started to walk away from the glass. "Horu, i know you're listening. If you hand yourself to me, they will be let go, so make the choice."
