Third POV

A man stood alone in front hundreds, if not thousands of families, heroes, students, each one silent as the man prepared himself.

The man was very skinny, his bones prominent in his skin with long blonde hair, two long strands reaching below his jawline.

He was the number one hero, Toshinori Yagi.

He wore a black suit, as everyone in the crowd wore something similar, whether it was a dress or suit, everyone was dressed in dark clothing, mourning for their heroes.

"Hello everyone." Toshinori looked across the crowd, a solemn tone adorning his words. "As everyone now knows, heroes have recently conducted one of the largest raids throughout history in an attempt to stop the League of Villains, and after a long fight, the raid was a success." He let out a sigh. "But we are here today to remember those that we have lost, and among those was the raid leader, who helped plan this and made sure that it was possible. His name was Izuku, or as most knew him, Horu." Some murmurs erupts from the crowd, Toshinori's eyes drawing to a block in the crowd filled with people from the class 1-A.

"Not only did he plan this raid, but he also defeated the main Villain Shigiraki, who had undergone an experiment to make him stronger. Giving him the power to steal quirks." Some shocked gasps flared from the crowd, speechless at the fact a quirk like that could exist. "He locked himself and Shigiraki deep underground, away from everyone else, and defeated him, losing his life in the process." Toshinori struggled to stop any tears from falling, just managing to keep them away. "Although being quirkless, he took it upon himself to become Japans protector, a sovereign of darkness. Even after all the pain he went through, people he had lost, he still loved Japan. Before he joined UA, He never got much love back in return, but nevertheless, love it he did." He took a moment to look down at the podium in front of him, his hands resting onto it for support. His face scrunched up slightly as he thought back to Horu, remembering his friend.

"I was pretty good at this game, this punching and fighting nonsense. Getting all dressed up for the fight. And there are a lot of heroes out there that are pretty good at it too." Toshinori fumbles with his hands as he spoke, just barely managing to keep his voice level. "We train our whole lives. Use our tragic backstories and fortunate beginnings. We kick, we punch, we fly." He had a soft smile on his face, briefly remembering his master. "But none of us, not a one... is him."

"No one else...

Is Horu."

By now he could see the class in tears as he spoke.

But over a hundred miles away, a man was laying in bed, a small radio beside him listening to the speech. Bandages were wrapped profusely around his body, a wince escaping his lips with every movement.

He clenched his eyes shut, forcing himself to not cry, not even a little.

"So they think your dead." He turn this head to see a girl with long blonde hair, wearing traditional monk clothes. The man on the bed stiffly nodded his head.

"I suppose they do." His green hair was starting to get worse with every day he laid there.

Izuku's POV

After listening to the radio, hearing what All Might had said for me. It made me rethink my decision, that maybe I should go back.

But it was too late now.

This plan needs to work.

I looked to my side, finding a picture of Rumi and I.

This needs to happen for Japan to become peaceful again.

I struggled to sit up, resting my back along the wall. I placed my hand along the edge of the photo.

Maybe in another life.

"What will you do now?" Her voice broke my attention once more.

"There have been a group I found out around the beginning of my vigilante career, that have been controlling this country for centuries. I need to put my full attention on them so they can finally be put to a stop." I took a deep breath, remembering the ever present symbol of a man hung by strings, now realising how many jobs I was offered by them to do something.

"The foundation, is the only thing I've found out about them, a name and a symbol. After almost two years of light investigating." I took a deep breath.

"They'll hunt you, condemn you, make sure that you don't get back up." Yua speaks up again, her soft voice filled with concern piercing my ears. "So I'll ask you this once more, what will you do now?"

I remembered what I once said to Yaoyorozu after the licence exam.

"What I need to do, is Rise from the ashes of Horu."
