"I think that's enough for tonight Samurai, you can go get some rest for the night."

His gruff voice caused me to slow down and take a small breather.

"Okay Stendhal, I'll see you around." I was about to take off in the opposite direction but he spoke up once more.

"Wait, before you leave." He reached into his pocket and pulled out a piece of paper. "Me and Hana are going to this carnival across town tomorrow, and I bought an extra ticket in case you wanted to come too. So did you?" I felt a small smile invade my lips at the offer and quickly nod my head, taking the ticket in hand.

"Thanks, I'll see you tomorrow."

With my final words, I started running, soon making it back to the warehouse.

I bring the ticket into my hands and stare down at it, a soft smile adorning my face.

It felt like I was part of a family.

I let my smile drop and placed the ticket to the side, choosing to get some sleep.

I just knew that I would never forget tomorrow.

Several hours later

"Izuku! Over here!" I hear Hana's voice in the distance, my head spinning in her direction.

I do a short jog to get over to her, my excitement for today reaching a high.

"Hana, Akaguro-Sensai." I greet each of them, my ticket in hand. Stendhal shook his head at my words.

"Please, you can call me Chizome in public, now come on, the carnival waits for no one." He started to walk away, me and Hana following close behind.

I spoke with Hana about anything that came to mind, chucking at each others jokes.

We explored as much of the carnival as we could, going on every ride we could find, but it soon came to an end.

Bang!

A body came flying through the air, crashing into the ride closest to us.

I could see Chizome slowly drift into Stendhal, his posture becoming more rigid, his eyes more focused.

"Everyone run!" A local hero shouted to the crowd and without hesitation, they started running.

The man had started to dig himself out of the carnival, standing straight and getting ready to fight again.

I looked closer to the hero, recognising the costume he wore.

Death arms.

A polar bear-like man walked from where the hero was thrown, his claws at the ready as death arms started to challenge him.

"Izuku, get Hana out of here!" Stendhal's voice reached out to me as he started helping someone stuck.

I hesitated for a moment, wanting to help, but I listened to him, grabbing Hana by the arm and running.

Another villain had started fighting ahead of us and I only saw one way out, through the circus tent.

I ran into the tent with Hana, hoping for us to find an emergency exit through the tent, but things didn't go our way.

As I was searching with Hana by my side, I heard the tent rip and a split second later, the polar bear villain from earlier had slammed into us.

My grip on Hana was lost as he slammed into us.

I tried getting her in my hands once more, hoping to keep her safe.

The villain quickly grabbed onto Hana, and once he saw me reaching out to her, he slammed his fist into me, throwing me away.
