5th December 2246
I took a deep breath, frost escaping my lips as the temperature dropped.
My legs dangled from the rooftop as I rested for a moment.
But I couldn't rest for long.
The city shook underneath me.
A building was lit up in flames, igniting the atmosphere in a display of heat.
I got to my feet quickly, pausing for a moment, wondering if my eyes were playing a trick on me.
I didn't take much more time before I started running, making my way to the building.
Heroes were already running inside and for a moment, I was going to leave it to them. The situation was already being handled, but they couldn't see what I saw.
A group of people were stood inside on the alleyways beside the building, the alleyway blocked from the road by a thick chunk of rubble, and the group were planning something.
One of them began to get engulfed by a grey goo, encompassing them until they disappeared.
It was too dark to see anything of detail, all I knew for certain was that they were arrogant enough to not wear masks, and with a quirk being used to leave, I had enough evidence to stop them.
I quickly jumped down and started to deal with them, dodging as many hits and dealing back as hard as I could.
As I fought, one man from the crowd stood out. A man that had a silent level of respect from everyone around him, asserting himself above everyone.
He was staring at me, analysing the way I fought.
Once I started charging at him, a smirk entered his face and the grey goo had come back, taking over his body before I could get to him.
I stopped in place realising that I lost him.
I moved my gaze back to those around me, only to find the same grey goo travelling around their body, teleporting them to another location until I was alone in the alleyway, questioning if what I saw was real.
My eyes stared around the alleyway, soon locking onto a security camera just a couple meters away.
I heard some heroes shouting in the distance and took the time to start running, not wanting to interact with any heroes for the night.
"It's Horu!" I could hear a hero in the distance shout my name, only causing me to run faster.
I dash to the side as one of them came crashing down beside me, just dodging what would have hit me.
I reach into my pocket, pulling out a small device and got ready, jumping into the alleyway nearby, blending in with the shadowy corners.
The hero chasing me wasted no time in dropping into the alleyway, taking cautious steps.
I threw the device just behind him and pressed a button along my glove and a beeping sound erupted from the device, dragging the heroes attention to it and making him turn his back to me.
I climbed back up after throwing a smoke pellet and ran.
Just like I was taught.
Block out their senses and they will give you the opportunity to act.
In my case, my opportunity was running away.
I ran back to my warehouse, not spending another second with all the heroes trying to find me. I slowly took off my mask and got onto my computer, hacking into the security camera I saw and replaying the footage.
