"You were never sincere with us." I hissed, getting up trying to attack Nathaniel but he shot my arm in a second, numbing my body and not giving me a second, he entangled his foot with mine, throwing me on the ground.
"Argh!" Scowling in pain, I fell on the ground again, holding my arm in immense pain, glaring at him with tears in my eyes. I felt terrible. It was horrible.
Liar, liar, liar.
What about your promise? Your words? Was everything a lie?
"Stay still." He ordered coldly, putting his gun and returning his glare to Axel who was also flabbergasted. I had no idea why but he was taken aback by my blood staining the ground.
Heartbroken, I look at his heartless eyes with my woeful gaze. Whimpering in pain, searching around to find something to attack him but it was nothing.
I was losing blood, I had no weapon with me.
'What should I do? What should I do?' My eyes fell upon my gun in the corner as I tried to crawl there carefully to not get caught while he was talking to Axel.
"I guess I should leave you two alone. I have sent your payment to De Villiers, My Lord. It was great to work with you. You're truly professional. I understand now why it is that high."
Axel praised. I immediately knew this was his plan to bring us all in one place and if he is working with Hyenas then the legion he intends to massacre is not them but... Us... We were his prey.
From the start, he was toying with my emotions, he was disloyal...
'And you? What about you? You were sent to kill him too. Aren't you a disloyal too?' Shut up!
"Leave." Nathaniel ordered and the second Axel left, I growled.
"Asshole! Everything was your plan, even the ambush on your building. Your target was us, isn't it!? That is why you were not caring about the people in the building. It was empty from the start!"
I snarled, taking my gun on the ground to shoot him but he kicked my hand. Pressing his foot over my hand to stop me from fighting.
"Stop fighting, Zariah, you will deepen your wound." He spoke in a slightly worried tone but none of it matters now.
"Fuck you!"
I got up to attack him but exhaustion from the previous fight and the bullet on my arm prevented me, holding my throat. He stopped me in a second and the strain in his eyes was igniting a furious fire in me.
He pressed me against the wall, restricting my breaths, scanning my arm and then stopping at my eyes with an unreadable look but before I could explore his expression, his dominance came back.
A deadly aura that drains my strength. He proved he was undefeated, I couldn't move.
"Yes. I was working with Axel from the very start. This attack was also a part of my plan, I knew you were going to kill me in the end so I had to do something, I knew I couldn't beat you in a combat fight so I had to make you weak... like this."
A dark smirk came to his lips, grabbing my injured arm, earning a scream from me. Endeavoring weakly in his grasp, disappointment, anguish and anger mixed together, whimpering in pain.
"When you come to play games with me then why can't I? Win his trust, kill Axel and then kill him in the end? Do you think I wouldn't know about this pathetic plan?" He hissed, tightening his grip on my throat, making me gag for air.
"I won't forgive you for this." I said breathlessly, trying to control my raging self but he held me secure in this place.
I felt so weak for the first time along with the emotional pain and converting my emotional agony into power, I shut my eyes.
