My heart lost in the deepest depth of upheaval thrown on my head.
Freezing my hands to think if my path crossed with Dante ever again, it will bring nothing but devastation. Shit, who the hell sent him in the first place?
I hope not but if Nathaniel comes to know about it, he will kill both of us and I will end up losing my cherished belongings by the hands of the orders from my Father.
"I don't know what to do, Al." Exclaiming my tension, I paced around the room, pulling my hair in frustration.
"Shit, shit. Let's just hope Nathaniel won't come to know." She prayed.
"I can't lose him." Confessing, I fell on the bed, curling my toes in perturbation of this upheaval.
"Him? you are caring about him while our whole plan is at risk?!" She scolded me but before him, ignorance became a part of me.
"I know. I know but do you have a better plan in mind huh? No. Then don't meddle." I hissed, not knowing what I should do to reduce the stress of my mind.
"I can't believe you are saying this." I don't even know what is left of me in the first place, a superfluous throb.
"He has hexed you." She whispered but I cannot defy her either, I wanted to badly but I believe it's obvious too.
"You are overthinking. I will handle it." I replied coldly.
"Beware of your next step, Zariah. Don't throw us in trouble by your passion." She sighed in disappointment.
"I know... This whirlpool would attack me first, before all of you so you don't have to worry. Don't tell me what to do, I will deal with it on my own."
"Zari-" Exhaling with a calm tone I cut the call without even bothering to bid goodbye, throwing my phone away, emitting a long heave of dispirit, buried under those graves of void.
Wrapping my arm around my body, I stared at the ground with nothingness affixed in my eyes.
'What a worthless being...
I don't know who I am, what exists within me. Is it a beating piece of flesh or a cluster of emotion awaiting its origin? What am I?'
"You... okay?" Nathaniel's voice came after noticing my state when he entered monotonously.
There he is, oblivious to my condition.
"Yeah." Returning a forced smile I nodded.
"You are not." He replied, furrowing his brow with mere concern before scrutinizing.
"Why do you think that?" I asked softly, straightening my back, looking up at him innocently.
"I just felt like it." He shrugged, trailing off.
"Just work stress." Responding with a sigh, I glanced at him reaching me.
"I didn't allow you to work so you could be distressed... It was to not idle around and turn crazy." He told me softly, taking a seat with me on the bed. Not knowing what intoxication his proximity provides me.
"They call me crazy anyways. Prince always called me Crazy Zariah." I chuckled dryly, curling my lip in a dead smile.
"Leave him, he lives in fairytales." He jeered.
"Because he gained his. He had his happy ending with Cinzel. Your sister is living her dreams with Prince. He left the world for her." I replied, unwillingly jealous of them.
"We are talking about you, not him." He frowned.
"What about me?" I asked, blinking in confusion.
"Is there something bothering you?" He asked seriously while I shook my head in refusal.
