FINDING hyunjin was a challenge. impossibly many hallways, doors on both sides, their appearance being the same. it felt as if i was walking in circles.
i heard a sniffle. it came right from the door i was looking at right now. that was probably where he went to. i hesitated a bit, not knowing what to expect.
after counting down from three at least ten times to stall time, i finally peeked my head through the frame.
there he was. hyunjin's back faced me, his shoulders hurriedly going up and down. i could hear his soft cries and for some reason, it tug at my heart.
other than training, him and i hadn't spent time together at all. he was the one i was most distant to. it was almost like he had started to hate me the second i stepped into the car that day.
"how long are you gonna stand there for?" he asked, his head not turning. despite him crying his voice was as stable as ever.
i made a 'huh' sound, surprised he had noticed me. i took it as my queue to let my feet carry me closer, watching him as he kept on sitting on the couch in the room, looking out the slightly opened window.
